Hope everyone enjoyed the long
weekend. Late Saturday and Sunday
weren't too good but not unusual for
the 24th of May.
We wish Mandy Mitchell a speedy
recovery' as she is recovering from
knee surgery. We also hope Doug
Mitchell comes along after being in

Rev. Joan Tuchlinsky's time with

Brussels Presbytery and they all try
to work together on things. They are

the Top Dealer Award at a recent
convention for the Ontario,
Manitoba and Michigan district for
Houle Manure Handling Equipment.

company from Slabtown. Congrats
to Keith, Pauline and their staff.
Changes. changes, it's hard to
keep up. Jeff Dalton and Michelle
have moved to the former Campbell
for the upcoming year.
Rev. Joan's reflection was on
songs that sustain faith. Everyone
has a song that has a special
meaning or place in their thoughts.
She asked the congregation for
theirs. Some of the songs were Will
Your Anchor Hold?, Guide Me 0
Thou Great Jehovah, How Great
Thou Art, Amazing Grace, Silent
Night, Make Me a Channel of Your
Peace and Jesus Loves Me.
Rev. Joan had a little history about
the songs and their authors and
congregants sang the first and last
Wey house and the next thing you
know, the house and barn on the
Dalton property has been taken
down. Clean up and preparation for
a new home is happening and we
look forward to watching the
progress on Canada Company Road.
We send out get-well soon wishes
to Evelyn Blake, who has been in
hospital and hope to see her out and
about real soon.
The Ontario Early Years class had
only three little ones attending this
past week.
Emma Taylor matched all the
mommy animals to the baby animals
and she knows all the names.
Caden Lee worked on his cutting
and is getting quite good at it.
Everyone is waiting for young
Owen Taylor to take his first steps
verse of all the above-mentioned
hymns.
The offering was collected by
Karen Hoegy and Neil McGavin.
Announcements included an
urgent need of donations for the
food bank. Items can be left in the
basket in the foyer or at the grocery
store bins for the food bank.
Any donations for Jennifer Black
and Chad Spaulding's wedding gift
need to be left at McGavin's or
Walton Inn this week.
The Sunday school wrap-up party
will be Sunday. The children are

Howard and Audrey Hackwell had
lunch in Stratford with cousin Ethel
Fuller before she moved to Barrie on

last week to firm up details of the
calendar they are working on for the
fall. Any member of the community
wishing to have their birthday and/or

The students at Walton's Little
School have been very busy creating
and learning this month.
The senior pre-school Acorn class
has been exploring the world of the
dinosaurs. They have learned many
of the long names for these giants .
and have enjoyed creating their own
dinosaurs and going for dinosaur
digs.
Flying overhead are the Shining
Stars (junior pre-school) as the class
discovers the various modes of
transportation and they plan their
trip around the world.
This creative clasS has used large
boxes to construct a Reading
Garage, car wash and various
vehicles. They have begun to

speaker telling of the early literacy
program at the Walton Little School.

The Butterflies (toddlers) have
been spotted rolling down hills,
climbing rocks and twinkling in the
sky as they learn many early
concepts through nursery rhymes.
They can jump over candlesticks
like Jack and count all of Little Bo
Peep's sheep.
Walton's Little School's open
house is on Saturday, May 29 from 9
a.m. - 12 p.m. While there enjoy a
story with Clifford the Big Red Dog,
purchase books at the two book fairs
(Scholastic and Usborne Books) and
shop at the used clothing and
equipment sale.
On June 28 there is to be an
amalgamation meeting and
information will be available soon.
The next meeting will be June 9
with a mystery tour. Two Blyth
suppers will be held in June and
plans were made for them.
A plant exchange closed the
meeting and lunch was served by the
hostess and Betty McCall.
