Auburn's 150th celebration committee meeting will be held June 1 at Knox United Church at 7:30 p.m. The Auburn Lions club meeting is to be held on June 2 at 7:15 p.m. There will not be any news reported for two,weeks. The UCW meeting is on May 26 to show the quilt and other projects done over the winter for the donation to the Children's Aid. Guest speaker is Rev. They are easy family food that teenagers and parents will enjoy. PINEAPPLE TARTS 2 cups pineapple tidbits, drained 1/4 cup maraschino cherries, quartered 2 tbsp. pineapple juice 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind pastry 2 tbsp. butter Combine pineapple, _ . juice, sugar, lemon rind. Cut pastiy into 8 - 5" squares. Arrange pastry in muffin tins. Place 3 heaping tbsp. pineapple mixture into each. Dot with butter. Draw corners of pastry over filling and pinch together. Bake at 400°F for 20 - 25 minutes. STRAWBERRY CHEESE TARTS 1/4 lb. cream cheese 1/2 cup heavy cream 8-10 baked tart shells 1/2 cup sugar 2 cups sliced strawberries whipped topping Combine and beat cheese and cream until smooth and stiff. Line tart shells with mixture. Combine sugar and strawberries. Spoon into tart shells.
