The Ethel Hall euchre was held on
Monday, April 26 with 12 tables.
Helen Cullen and helpers hosted for
the evening's play.
The share-the-wealth winners

McGillawee. High scores were

Most lone hands went to Isabelle
Bremner and Jim Smith. Low scores
for that night were Gail Smith. Jean
Bedwell and Bob Bremner.
There were also numerous lucky
tally cards drawn. The next euchre
will be held on Monday, May 10 at 8
p.m.
A teenager who chased and killed
a red fox by running it over with his
snowmobile has been fined $255.
Court heard that on Feb. I I a
Ministry of Natural Resources
(MNR) Clinton Area conservation
officer received a complaint about
someone pursuing a red fox with a
snowmobile. Helped by witnesses, a
I7-year-old was tracked down and
charged.
While there is no closed hunting
season for red fox, Ontario residents
wishing to hunt them must have a
valid hunting version Outdoors Card,
a small game licence and permission
to hunt on private property. Vehicles
must not be used to pursue, chase,
capture, injure or kill wildlife.
Justice of the Peace Murphy heard
the case in Ontario Court of Justice
in Goderich on April 29.
The public is encouraged to
protect Ontario's natural resources
by reporting violations to their local
ministry office or calling Crime
