respite stay.
The Walton Inn was the meeting
place for over a dozen principals of the
Avon Maitland School Board to enjoy
a noon meal. After, they travelled to
Brussels and Seaforth to attend
meetings in their respective interests.
More changes are taking place
around the countryside. This week the
old barn on the Sutcliffe farm (former
Workman farm) on Moncrieff Road
came tumbling down and was burned
and cleaned up.
On Brussels Line, the old Johnson
house, now owned by Rapsons, also
came down and is being cleaned up as
well.
There were lots of people attending
the buck and doe for Darrell Dalton
and Jodi Hargreaves • at the Seaforth
Arena on Saturday evening.
Congratulations to them on a
successful evening and their upcoming
wedding.
Congratulations to newlyweds
Colleen Collins and Chris Smith. They
exchanged wedding vows at the
Festival Inn at Stratford and hosted
dinner and reception there as well.
There were many local people in
attendance as Colleen grew up in
Walton. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Smith are
residing at RR4. Walton and we wish
them the best.

Godkin. It was a cool and sometimes
damp day but a good day.
There are no results on whether there
were any top-place finishers but I
heard on the radio while there, (the
races are broadcast on 88.1) that local
boys ran very well.
Good luck for the upcoming season
to all.
stained glass memorial was done by
Patti Banks and Karen Hoegy along
with Rev. Joan. Members of the Banks
family and many friends of Geoff were
in attendance for the dedication. The
lovely window-shaped stained glass is
of wheat heads in the sun and is set in
a lighted box frame.
The‘ artwork is a creation of Thea
Rijkhoff and the oak frame was made
by Jim Cook.
The congregation prayed that with
the light that shines through the
window, they would remember and
sense the beauty and peace that grows
around us.
Chris and Judy Lee along with
grandson laden Lee and little friend
Emma Taylor attended the birthday
party for two-year-old twins Ezra and
Bryce Lee in Stratford on Saturday.
Held at the new .home of proud parents
Jake and Stephanie Lee, they
entertained 13 energetic two and three-
year-olds along with a few other
chaperones. They had a great and noisy
afternoon but what a lot of fun.

The Ontario Early Years Program
reminds parents that play is
children's work. Play is how
children learn concepts of fast and
slow, big, bigger and biggest. Play is
how the children practise their fine
motor skills (colouring, stacking,
lacing and puzzles). Play is how they
learn cause and effect (watch them
knock down the towers they build).
Play, guided and enjoyed with
their parents and caregivers,
provides language development.
The group in Walton enjoyed
making their favourite sport sticker
picture (with many up and, coming
soccer players).
They practised following
directions with the rhythm sticks and
they love forming a Mickey Mouse
Band.
FROM WALTON
The group keeps growing so
remember everyone is welcome to
bring their children for a fun
interactive morning from 10 7 11:30
