Dig in
It was a full hall on Sunday as many area residents
gathered to enjoy a delicious beef supper at the Walton
Hall, hosted by the Walton Hall board. Proceeds of the
tasty meal will go towards the hall's furnace repair. Sean
Mitchell wasted no time digging into the tender beef and
devoured the sweet treat of angel food cake for dessert.

A milestone birthday was
celebrated by Walton Inn's
wonderful waitress Patty Banks this
week. The celebrations started on

Heidi McClure hosting a murder
mystery party. Attending the party
were the hosts, guest-of-honour
Patty and Jim Cook. Keith and
Gloria Wilbee, Donna McClure,

was, contact Miss Kitty, aka birthday
girl Patty, who now has celebrated
the.. 1/2 century mark, and may
remember the answer.
Patty was' feeling her age on
Sunday when her family arrived to
continue the celebration. Resting
was not on the agenda with a meal to
prepare and two lively grandchildren
to keep up with.
Finally refreshed, Patty arrived at
the Walton Inn for work on Monday
morning for yet another celebration.
Guests and patrons of the Inn were
greeted by a large picture of Patty's
smiling face at the door, along with
balloons and signs of Happy 50th
birthday.
The morning coffee gang gathered

cake provided by Kathleen
Williamson.and presented Patty with
gifts and cards that included lottery

What a lovely idea for Audrey to
make it into a remembrance for
Patty.
Graeme and Helen Craig gave
Patty a break to enjoy coffee and
cake with the women. As Graeme
says "You only turn 50 once." Patty
responded "It's my day".
