NOTICE OF BUDGET MEETING
Pursuant to Section 291, Municipal Act 2001
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Corporation of
the Township of North Huron will be considering the 2004
Budget, including applicable budgets of any Committees or
Local Boards with the intention to adopt and / or amend the
budget at a Public Meeting to be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2004
at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 274 Josephine
Street, Wingham, ON.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
North Huron Council invites interested parties to submit
proposals for a heritage street signage project for the Village of
Blyth. The project consists of identifying eleven street
intersections along Queen Street with signs that are reflective,
rust proof and compliment the uniqueness of the heritage setting
of downtown Blyth. The proposed signage must also include
directional signs to identify community facilities and tourist
attractions. Additional information is available by contacting the
undersigned during normal business hours.
Proposals shall be received by the Township of North Huron
Municipal Office at 274 Josephine Street, Wingham, Ont
NOG 2W0 until 12 noon on Friday, April 30, 2004.

2004 Dog Tags and licences are now available
(Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m to 5 p.m)
at the Township of North Huron Municipal Office,
274 Josephine Street, P.O. Box 90
Wingham, Ontario NOG 2W0
• All dogs must be licensed in compliance with By-law
No. 09-2001.
• A copy of the complete By-law is available for review at the
Municipal Office.
• All dogs must be identified by means of a tag and licence,
issued for a (1) one year period by:
Friday, April 30, 2004
The fee schedule shall be as follows:
1/ For each dog male, female, neutered male
or spayed female 520.00 per dog
2/ For each additional dog male, female,
neutered male or spayed female $25.00 per dog
3/ Kennel Licence Fee $90.00
(for a kennel of dogs that are registered or
eligible for Registration under the Animal Pedigree Act)
4/ Late Payment Charge
(Shall be assessed in addition to the license fee.
if the licence and/or tag is not purchased by April 30th)
Excrement:
• The By-law requires dog owners to forthwith remove
excrement left by a dog, from property other than the
premises of the owner of the dog.
• Any person contravening this provision is subject to a 550.00
fine.

Blyth Sting brings home A trophy from Montreal

The next euchre is April 26 in the
Legion Hall at 7:30 p.m. This will he
the last euchre for the season.
Blyth seniors meeting is on
Wednesday, April 28 in Memorial Hall
at noon. It's a potluck lunch with
musical entertainment by Jim and
Elaine Scott to follow.
Alvin Snell is a patient in Parkwood
Hospital during the week and is home
at Restview Nursing Home in Clinton
on the weekends.
Greeting at Blyth United Church on
April 18 were Lois vanVliet and Fred
Hakkers. Ushering was Karen
Glousher, Guest musician was Lynda
McGregor.
Rev. Eugen Bannerman asked them
if anyone had. ever said to them "1
don't believe you."
Many of the children said yes. He
explained to them that we are much
happier when we tell the truth and we
should never lie. He told them the story
of Thomas the doubter and how Jesus
appeared to him and he believed Jesus
had risen from the grave.

and they were placed In the over-35
category.
The first matchup was on Friday
afternoon against Ottawa. The Sting
won this with a 4-2 victory. The MVP
for the game was Ron
VanMassenhoven.
After some celebration on Friday
night they played a team from Halifax
on Saturday gaining another victory
of 3-1 with the MVP being Darryl
Chalmers. The next game was played
on Sunday morning against Toronto
and the victory was the Stings' once
again with a score of 7-0. However
this game ended up with two of the
guys needing a few stitches here and
there. The MVP was Ken Siertsema
for doing such a good job in net and
stopping all those shots.
With a full squad once again they
played the Ottawa team again and
gained the championship cup with a
score of 2-1. The MVP for this game
was Steve Siertsema,
The Blyth Sting won their division
and played some good hockey to get
there.
Kenny Siertsema came in second in
the shutout competition. Blyth's
shooter for the contest was Ron
