Locals win at darts
Bird's eye view
Natalie Fear looked down from above as she climbed the
ladder on the fire truck. The little one was attending the open
house for the new Grey Fire Department pumper on
Saturday afternoon. (Vicky Bremner photo)
The dart results from Cranbrook
last week were Murray Houston with
140 and Karen Bowles with 105. The
last dart night will be March 31.
Saturday night the Brussels
Curling Club held its 40th
anniversary celebrations with a
dinner and dance. As former curlers
it was great to be asked by the
present curlers to such a well-
planned evening. The-number of past
members back for the celebrations
showed that friendships made at the
arena have lasted.

Visitors at
Knox Church
Visitors in Cranbrook
Presbyterian Church on Sunday
were Emerson and Phyllis Mitchell
with their grandchildren, Sean,
Sarah and Claire. Emily Mitchell
was camping on the weekend.
Speaking of visitors there was a
mistake last week. Johnathan, did
not change his name and I know that
he is Johnathan Lee, not McDonald.
Mistakes arc made when you rush
too much. Apologies for getting the
name wrong.
Communion will be celebrated on
Sunday, April 4 in Cranbrook.
Monkton Presbyterian Church
will be having a music night on
April 18 and Rev. Theresa
McDonald Lee will have tickets for
sale. She reminded congregants
there is a need to help the Food Bank
as 22 Brussels and area families
need help as do 350 families in the
county.
Plan to attend the Holy Week
luncheons in the Brussels United
Church beginning at 12:05 p.m.
from April 5 through the week.
well as Darlene and Don Fischer
have reason to celebrate.
Birthday wishes go to Joe Terpstra
on April 4, Tony Terpstra on April 5,
and Doug Mitchell on April 7.
We heard that Murray Fischer was
treated to a surprise supper on
Saturday night at the Fireside Cafe to
celebrate a special birthday.
Chris, Shelly Smith and family
were busy celebrating birthdays last
weekend too.
Delayna Smith and Dalton
Hamilton share a March 27 birthday.
On Friday night a clown was the
highlight at the Smith's party and on
Saturday the Hamilton party went to
Vanastra to swim. On Sunday
Delayna and family took the
grandparents to McDonald's in
Hanover to finish her celebrations.
