POSITION SUMMARY & REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Under the governance of a volunteer Board of Directors, and
adhering to the vision, mission, goals, and values of the
organization, the incumbent will be responsible for the
management of an organization, which offers community-based
supports to persons with an intellectual disability.
The successful candidate will have:
- exceptional organizational, communication, and
people skills
a collaborative working style
the ability to network and to act as a coalition builder with
other agencies, the community, government, and service
consumers
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 3-5 years previous experience in a similar
position
• Completion of a relevant post-secondary education
(3-5 years) or equivalent experience in a related field
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities, values of
inclusion, and the voluntary sector
• Proven leadership abilities through past accomplishments
• Superior interpersonal, problem solving and team
building skills
