Meeting
set for
March 11
The Cranbrook Ladies Aid
meeting will be held on Thursday,
March 11 at the home of Eleanor
Stevenson. Everyone should note
the change of date.
World Day of Prayer will be
observed on Friday, March 5 in
Brussels.
The dart scores reported this week
were Ernie Lewington with 126 and
Karen Bowles with 108.
Some Cranbrook-area residents
have been enjoying the better
weather by using the trails for
walking. They find the travelling
better on them than on the roads
right now.
Sympathy to Jack and Donna
Knight and their family on the
passing of Donna's sister, Molly. A
memorial service will be held in
Chatham on Thursday, March 4.
There were some tired people in
the neighbourhood on Monday
morning as they had just landed
home from Cuba. Those who had
enjoyed a break from winter were
Murray, Marlene, Bruce, Rhonda,
Don and Darlene Fischer. Their
friends Gordon and Dale Finch as
well as Neil and Joan Beuermann
were in Cuba too.
Birthday wishes this week go out
to Alison Terpstra on March 8.
Cash
stolen
from
gumball
machine
On Feb. 23 at 3:30 p.m. OPP were
called over a theft at the Brussels
arena on Sports Drive in Huron
East. The officer learned that
someone had broken into one of the
10 candy machines in the main
lobby of the arena. Stolen was
approximately $50 cash along with
the coin tray.
The front of the unit had come off
when another youth went to get
candy out of it thus alerting the staff
member to the problem.

Damage
to
property
in
Morris
On Feb. 26 a person on a
snowmobile crashed through a fence
on property located just off Clegg
Line in Morris-Turnberry. The
incident took place at approximately
2:10 p.m.
The driver left the snowmobile
trail and entered onto private
property. The person crashed
through a rail fence breaking off one
of the posts. The person left behind
beer bottles and a quantity of red
paint on the damaged rails and post.
The snowmobile should have
extensive damage to the front end.
Huron OPP is continuing their
investigation. If you can help solve
