2004 Dog Tags and licenses are now available:
(Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm)
at the Municipality of Morris-Turnberry Municipal Office,
41342 Morris Rd.

***Tags can be picked up in person or ordered by telephone***
All dogs must be licensed in compliance with By-law No. 30-2001.
A copy of the complete By-law is available for review at the Municipal
Office.
All dogs must be identified by means of a tag and license, issued for
a (1) one year period by:
Friday, April 30, 2004
The fee schedule shall be as follows:
1/ All dogs - males, females, and spayed females $20.00 per dog
2/ Kennel License Fee $75.00
(for a kennel of dogs that are registered or
eligible for registration under the
Animal Pedigree Act)
3/ Late Payment Charge $20.00. per dog
(Shall be assessed in addition to the
license fee, if the license and/or tag is not
purchased by April 30th)
Excrement:
The By-law requires dog owners to forthwith remove excrement left by
a dog, from property other than the premises of the owner of the dog.
Any person contravening this provision is subject to a $50.00 fee.

Councillors received another letter
concerning the 911 operating
system.
Archie MacGowan, administrator
for Braemar Retirement Centre in
Wingham. wrote that since 911 was
instituted in Huron County, the

nursing home which delays the
response time for the residents.
MacGowan has spoken with the
ambulance service as well as the
local fire department to try to find
solutions to the problem.
"The easiest solution would be if
we could have a separate 911
number for the retirement home."
He said his hope is that council
will consider numbering the
property as 719 A Josephine St.
North for the nursing home and 719
B for the retirement home.

said he'd like to get some
more information before making any
decisions and councillors

The Board installation will take
place on Sunday, Feb. 29. A Lenton
Study: "Wrestling With Angels" will
be held on Thursday, March' 4 at
9:30 a.m. in the church base-
ment.
The World Day of Prayer will be
held on Friday, March 5 at 2 p.m. at
Knox United Church.

100 days of school
East Wawanosh Public School students were getting pretty
lucky with all the snow days in January, but they still
managed to hit the 100th-day-of-school mark on Feb. 19.
Students in Grades 1, 2 and 3 celebrated day 100 with
games and crafts which included necklaces made with 100
beads. Grade 2 student Courtney Shearer, decorates her
