Huron East has contacted dispatch stating that the calls received from a portion of McKillop which had been previously serviced by Blyth would now be serviced by the Seaforth, Brussels and Grey fire departments. The four other municipalities in the agreement had passed resolutions to commence legal action in order to force Huron East to The Hullett Provincial Wildlife Area will be holding the first of its 2004 Volunteer Work Days on Saturday, Feb. 28 at the Hullett Marsh. "Volunteers are not only welcome but necessary." said Mat Shetler, the maintenance supervisor at the Marsh, "It takes a lot of help from our volunteers to maintain the programs here." As the staff at the facility gets ready for spring they have work at the office and outdoors. The installation of the new interpretation centre means that offices are moving to the second floor. Help with the renovations will allow the task to be completed before the outdoor work Feb. 12 at 7 a.m. a bus was travelling westbound on Amberley Road just west of Brussels Line in Morris-Turnberry. The driver of the bus was following a black 1998 Plymouth Breeze. Suddenly the vehicle ahead veered to avoid something on the road. The car had clipped a horse, which was running loose, causing minor damage to the vehicle side. The Huron OPP are asking the public to be vigilant securing valuables in unattended vehicles. OPP have received reports in the county of theft from vehicles. The common factor in each of these occurrences is the victim left valuables in plain view of a potential thief. Good turnout to Lodge meeting The regular meeting of Morning Star Rebekah Lodge took place on Tuesday, Feb. 10 with Noble Grand Sister Elva Brown presiding. There was a good attendance of members.
