"Christmas is my favourite time of
the year and what better time to
celebrate love," said Karen Mason.
"We wanted a unique wedding
different from the traditional
summer and fall weddings. Robert
wanted to incorporate his love for
snowmobiles into the wedding."
For the couple visions of
evergreens, birch branches,
poinsettias, snowflakes, twinkle
lights and tolling combined to create
a winter wonderland.
Holding a winter wedding of
course posed some challenges. The
first was finding a photographer with
access to indoor photo locations
large enough to hold family and a
wedding party. "We hired a local
photographer, who provided us with
a location within CKNX Radio
Station, Wingham a day early to set
up trees, poinsettias, etc. for indoor
photos." The couple was granted
permission from Dr. and Mrs. Street
in Blyth to use their front yard for
outdoor photos with the
snowmobiles.
