Hit the web or wedding tips, advice When you are planning a wedding. just about everyone is there to give a piece of advice. Tired of getting advice from friends, family, co-workers or people you barely know? Today, you can just turn on your computer and hop online for articles on making your wedding day special. Here's a rundown of some of the most popular wedding sites out there. The knot (www.theknot.com) — What started as a website has now become an enterprise. They still have a website but now also produce magazines, books and a television show on the Oxygen network. The site contains just about everything for the bride-to-be from etiquette advice to local message boards where brides-to-be can network with other couples. Wedding Channel (www.weddingchannel.com ) — A broad-based site that includes advice and info on fashion and beauty. planning tools and a gift registry. It also includes a tool . to help couples create a wedding website and a guest list tracker where couples enter, track and update guest names, invitations, RSVPs, gift information and special comments (such as a guest's dietary preferences). Ultimate Wedding (www.ultimatewedding.com ) — The best part about this site is the song planning section. The wedding song library has more than 3,800 choices for ceremony and reception tunes. You can also play clips of many of the songs to make sure the perfect tune is played while you cut the cake, toss the garter and darice with your dad and your spouse. Wedding links galore (www.weddingl nksgalore.com ) — Produced by Ultimate Wedding, this site can link you to everything from officiants to photographers to reception locations. Modern Bride (www.modernbride.com ) — Get planning articles and advice from this magazine's online companion. Photo galleries from the magazine are great for ideas. Dress finders for bridesmaids, bride and mothers are also helpful. Bridalzine (wWw.bridalzine.com) — This site contains a series of articles called "Weddings on a Shoestring" with tips on saving when planning the big day. You'll find the tips on budgeting and cutting corners are useful. The basics behind a post-wedding brunch You are finally husband and wife! If you aren't jetting off to your honeymoon immediately, some couples opt to continue the celebration with a morning-after brunch. It gives them the opportunity to thank their guests for trekking into town and a chance to say goodbye. Plus, they'll get to hear about everything they might have missed at the wedding while they were playing hosts — like how Aunt Sue boogied on the dance floor, or that their little cousin ate two dozen shrimp at the cocktail hour. What kind of brunch you have is up to you. You can make it an open house and invite everyone who attended the wedding, or you can limit it to guests who spent the night at a hotel, or invite your wedding party and a few close friends and family.
