Entertainment Leisure Festival extends run for 'Outdoor Donnellys' The Blyth Festival announced last week that The Outdoor Donnellys will be extended to July 3. Early demand for tickets "to the popular show indicate that it is on track to sell out as it did in both 2001 and 2002. Artistic director Eric Coates is After a very successful Faith-In- Song concert in 2003, the ABC Women's Ministry is pleased to bring Faith-In-Song 2 to Blyth Memorial Hall on Friday, Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. The Women's Ministry groups of Auburn Huron Chapel, Blyth Living Water Christian Fellowship, and Heartland Community Church in Clinton, have been working together for over two years to provide opportunities for families in the three communities to come together Continued from page 1 to be involved in every session, but if people can only make it to one or two sessions, that's okay too. We want people to tell us their stories even if they can't make it every night," McIntosh said. The second workshop is aimed towards interested high school drama students during their March break in the evenings of March 14- 20 also in the June Hill room. McIntosh said during that week, they will go through the actual Passion play, writing and creating scenes as well as working on character development including Jesus and Judas. • The third workshop will involve an actor conservatory running from Aug. 9-27. McIntosh will be soliciting Blyth Festival Young Company Alumnae or other individuals from the area who are currently pursuing further studies towards a career in the theatre. This conservatory will thrilled about the response thus far. "It is a very exciting way to kick off the 30th anniversary season. People are talking about this show across the country." The Outdoor Donnellys explores both the authentic history and the myths surrounding the ill-fated for fun, fellowship and worship. This winter they are once again inviting everyone to come together in Blyth to enjoy Faith-In- Song 2. Last year's concert provided some Christian musical talent, and as a result the committee was encouraged to do it again. This year's lineup promises to be equally as great. Guest artists this year include The Bushell family from Holyrood, the Breslau Praise Band, Allison Dow from Blyth, the Hiemstra family involve advanced acting techniques and the creation of a script for Blyth's Passion play. "I want to use this community's inherent commitment to music and storytelling in order to create a context for the telling of The Passion," McIntosh said. The Passion is scheduled for an all day performance on Aug. 27, 2005 but the location is still un- known. There is no cost to participate in the play and interested applicants should contact McIntosh at the Blyth Festival Office at 519-523-9300. "Anyone and everyone is welcome," said both McIntosh and Bannerman. Call 1-866-734-9422 or visit wwwmedicalert.ca. Medic Alert Lets You Live Life. Lucan family who suffered a massacre at the hands of a local mob in 1880. The production takes place throughout the village of Blyth and relies on the support of nearly 200 local volunteers in addition to the professional acting company. The extension adds seven dates to from Harriston, and the Kingsbridge Quartette. All these performers come highly recommended. Popular CKNX FM 102 "Morning man" singer and songwriter Phil Main is MC for the concert. He, and the North Huron Praise Band, have recently completed a new CD — to be released this spring. Proceeds from this CD will be going to help finance the new Youth for Christ Centre in Wingham. All the proceeds will be going to two very worthwhile projects. They are the Emergency Services Training Centre (EST) currently being constructed in Blyth and th?, Impact North Missions, specifically to equip a bus to transport children from the First Nations Indian Reserve to Sunday School, Camps, and other events that the children 'would not otherwise be able to attend. David Sparling from EST and Stan and Sally Bragg from Impact North will be on hand to explain their projects, and answer questions. The ABC Women's ministry goal is to provide an affordable evening of Christian music for the whole family, and to help support worthwhile Community and Missions projects. Tickets are $5 each or $20 for a family of five or more (advance). There will be limited tickets available at the door for $7 each.
