Now you have a chance to say thanks. Nominate that special person for the 19th Annual Citizen Citizenship Awards. Each year a committee chooses an outstanding citizen from each of the Blyth and area and Brussels and area communities to receive an award for contribution to the community. The visiting squad won 4-0. Mitchell Kellington earned the shutout in net. The offense was led by Brody TenPas who scored a hattrick. Wyatt The Belgrave WMS held its January meeting at the home of Alice Nicholson. Ivy Cloakey led in prayer. Mrs. Nicholson read scripture then Mrs. Cloakey read a story entitled Hocus Pocus. A hymn, For Thy Mercy, was read Ducharme also scored. All goals came in the second period. Assisting on one of TenPas's goals were Hayden TenPas and Tanner Cardiff. The Tykes' next game is this Saturday at 10 a.m. in unison. Margaret Siertsema gave the secretary report and Mrs. Cloakey the treasurer's report. Twenty-two sick and shut-in visits were recorded. Jan. 19 is the annual meeting to be held in the Wingham Church at 10 a.m. The roll call was answered by a New Year's resolution. Mrs. Nicholson read a poem, God Gave Us Eyes. Mrs. Siertsema read a story on Mel Tellis. He used the serenity prayer to give him courage to sing in public and singing helped him to overcome his stuttering. As with Gladness Men of Old was read.
