PAGE 2. THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, JANUARY 8, 2004.
Well Christmas 2003 is gone,
already sorted into the memory bank
of our minds. With each passing day,
we can recall a moment, a day, a
time that made this holiday very
special.
Like every festive gathering we
each hold special thoughts about this
specific one. Each home has a story
to tell - the kids were home from
away. the cat knocked the tree down,
all the gifts fit, we got him - he
On Jan. 3 OPP received a call of a

Officers set up a RIDE program on

80 plus vehicles over the next two
hours. Ten people were charged with
liquor violations, four of those being
teenagers while the others ranged to

all truly ours 'to have and to hold.
The peace, joy, hope and love of the

family and friends to gather and gab,
to love and to laugh and of course, to
eat together.
My hope is that your memories of
this Christmas past are exceptional.
Did you see an extra spring in Lyle
Brothers's step last month? He was
doing a quiet spin as he and Alice
celebrated 64 years of marriage. If
you're like me your mind is reeling
right now as yOu think of the world
of 1939 and the changes that have
happened to and in it. The marriage
of Alice and Lyle Brothers is a fine
example of a couple who grew in
their love and didn't let changes in
the world affect their commitment to
each other.

Officers also laid four charges
under the Highway Traffic Act, one
being a speeding violation of 151
km/h in a 90 km/h zone. Five people
blew into the alcotest or roadside
device.
Another case is still ongoing.
Officers stopped a blue 1990 Chev
pickup truck that had four
each with 100 cards.
Name tags were also ordered for
10 council members.

2004 is with us to do as we may.
Time to see the new year spread
