RECEIVE AWARDS On Friday Clara Milligan receiv- ed a first prize for her Essay froin the Lucknow Legion on The Day to Remember and Joan Pickard received' third prize from the Legion for the poem she submitted. Congratulations girls.. Candlelight service is being held next Sunday, December 21st. The choir is busy preparing for this 1 annual service under the director Gordon Leggart to be broadcast over CKNX. Solos to be heard will be Mrs, Cathy Gibson. Mrs. Janet Vax-drap. with Mrs.. Don Ross organist_ The -choir members are from United Church. Langside and Chalmers. The ministers involved are Rev., Wilena Brown and Mr. Bey Kay. student at Knox. The audience is aSked to be seated by at the front of Chalrner's Church. Lunch will be served in the basement. 'after. the service. Rey. and Mrs. A.. Young of Goderich were attenders at Lang- side and Whitechurch Presbyterian churches where Rev. Young. a retired minister. had charge of the service.
