Those who read Kyle Onst9tes best-selling novel, "Mandingo", will want- to see the movie of the same name, opening December 7 at the Lyceum. It is a brutal • depiction of the treatment of black slaves in the American South prior to the Civil War.. Starring are, James Mason, Susan George, Perry King and Richard Ward. "Mandingo" is not a film for the faint of heart. In trying to show the true nature of the slavery system, the producers have included scenes of physical cruelty and .savage violence, as well as inter racial sex. "Mandingo" is 'a shocker!
