has been at Courtright for the past
two weeks • caring for .her grand-
children while her son and his wife,

Mr. and Mrs, Omar Brooks- of
Lucknow have left for the winter in
Florida. They own a home at
Tamara$, near Ft. Lauderdale.
Doris Wylds of Toronto, daught-
er of 'Dan Wylds of Ashfield,
recently enjoyed a vacation in
California.

Barrie visited her parents Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Moffat of Lucknow on
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Thompson
and Anne of Windsor visited last

. A fire alarm Tuesday at noon was
a false alarm.

Lucknow, attended the wedding of
Wendy Grasdahl and Richard
Jennison on Saturday in Grand
Bend United Church and the
reception in Crediton Community
Centre. Mrs. Mole has taken care
of the Jennison family several
times while their parents holidayed
in Florida.
Bob Hewat of Vancouver and his
sister Mrs., Nancy Biles and Steven
of Toronto were Sunday visitors
with the Thompson families in
Lucknow. A Thompson family
dinner was held Sunday in Bob's
honour at the Blue Barn in
Listowel. Bob is with Canada Life
Assurance in Vancouver and is this
week attending their annual sales
meeting in Toronto,
The regular meeting* Of the
Lucknow Women's Institute will be
held /on Tuesday, December 9th,
with a pot luck dinner at •12.30 p.m.
Exchange of gifts.
Milvert Reid of R. R. 3 Lucknow
left on •Friday of last week by bus
for St. Petersburg, Florida where
he will spend the winter.
Mrs. Eva Freeman of Lucknow
accompanied her brother Harold
Gardner of Hamilton the first of the
week to Florida,. where they will
spend the winter months.
Mrs. Jim England' and Mrs.
Harold Stanley of Lucknow return-
ed . Saturday from a 15 day
conducted bus tour to Florida.

Mr. and Mrs. George Kennedy
arrived home on Saturday evening
from a.3 week conducted tour.
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Rintoul,
. Carol, Kimberley and. Debbie. of
Tottenham 'were visitors with his
parents • Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Rintoul and her parents Mr. and
Mrs.. Stan Black of Belgrave. They
were accompanied by Gayle Rin-
toul, who had been visiting with
them at Tottenham.

her work at Toronto Dominion Bank
after a few week's holiday.
Mr. and Mrs. - Wafter Elliott
attended a double relative shower
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alex
Robertson, Wingham, on Sunday
for Miss Sandra Keith, bride-to-be
of Donald Forster and for Mr. and
Mrs. Robeit Forster married last
year and this year moved from the
West to Ontario.
Ripley Pee Wee team played
Lucknow Friday evening with a
score 1-1 tie.
Week end visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Mowbray were Mr.
and Mrs.' Hector Purdon and
Raymond of Strathroy and Mrs.
George Tiffin of Lucknow. .
The public schoolers here had a
holiday and the High School pupils
attending Madill of Wingham
enjoyed a holiday 'too - due to
power failure and no heat in the
school.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnston of
St. Pauls were Sunday visitors with
his mother Mrs. Gershom John-
ston.
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Laidlaw,
Janet and Kimberley were Sunday
visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Gordon, Heather and Scott of
Sarnia.
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Laidlaw
were recent visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Cliff Kain of Wiarton.
