Russell would like to be remembered to his friends and relatives in Lucknow. Jessie also talked with Russell's wife Raelee Lynn and her parents Mr, and Mrs. John Farrell and her sister Robyn Farrell. The students hope many from the area will come to see the results on Thursday, December 18th. On Wednesday, November 12 intramural hockey started for both boys and girls. The boys play on Wednesday after school at the Lucknow arena and the girls play. Fridays. In the first boys game the Chargers defeated the Tigers by a score of 10-4. Last Wednesday the Skaters defeated the Wings 5-3: One afternoon recently the Intermediate Girls Choir entertain- ed the patients at Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow. They were under the direction of their music teacher Mr. D. 'Cameron. • Volleyball plaYers are practising for the tournament to be held in Goderich on Saturday, December 13. ZION Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kirkland had her great nephew, Mr. and Mrs. John' Andrew of Edmonton, now residing in Toronto while John is in University, as visitors on Sunday. Mr.: and. Mrs. Kenneth . Kirkland of Milton spent part of the week end at the Kirkland home. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Cook visited Friday until Sunday evening in London with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smuck and also with her other sisters in London. Mr. and Mrs. Torn Helm visited Friday and Sunday at the Univer- sity Hospital in London with his father, Bob Helm of Lucknow. A number of young people from the community attended the Junior Farmers dance at the Legion in Lucknow. It was .a dance-a-thon which lasted all night, which most of them danced the given time. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Jerome attended the 2nd anniversary of the Kinsmen Club at a dance in the Lucknow Legion, Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Ritchie and Bryce visited his mother, Mrs. Wesley Ritchie of Lucknow, on Friday in Wingham Hospital where she has been taking treatments for arthritis the past week. C.G.I.T. NEWS • This week's CGff meeting began with Christmas cake making for Elizabeth Ritchie's group at her home. Cake and punch will be served as part of this year's Vesper Service. The girls then joined the rest of the group at the United Church where they studied the Christmas story Bible passages, the symbols_ of the Christmas season and what Christmas means to them. Mary Ellen Havens and Mrs. Marilyn Johnson then practised the Vesper Service music with the girls. Mrs. Nelson and the girls were thanked, for painting the windows at Pinecrest Nursing Home.' 'Some girls volunteered to decorate -the United and Presbyterian churches this week. Parts for' the Vesper Service were discussed. The meeting closed with the CGIT Purpose and Taps.
