Midgets Win 7 2
Over Tiverton
Lucknow Midgets defeated Tiv-
erton 7-2 in Lucknow Tuesday night•
of last week. Lucknow got the only
goal of the first period when Rick
Conley scored, assisted by Rick
Howald and TOM O'Keefe.
Tiverton tied the score mid-way
in the second on a goal by Taylor
from Dent. Rick Howald stole the
puck, broke in and overpowered
the Tiverton netminder while
Lucknow was playing shorthanded,
to _again put the local team in the
lead, before the 'end of the period.
Pat Murray found in open corner
to strengthen the Lucknow lead at
4.09 of the third. Tiverton came
right baCk 22: seconds later on a
shot by Taylor that deflected
strangely and ended up behind-7
Brad Aitchison. Lucknow then took
over as Rick Howald scored on a
pass from Pat Murray and then
completed his "hat trick" on an
uytassisted goal at 11.06. Tom
Sinnett found the mark at 16.16 on
a pass from Pat. Murray and again
at 16.46 on a pass from Erie Cayley
to, complete the scoring.
The local boys are improving
every time out and displayed
periods of passing and puck
handling that completely outclas-
sed the Tiverton squad. The team
