The purpose of. this Centre is to give the public an opport-
unity to review and comment on the draft Secondary Plan and
Zoning Bylaw.
Once these two documents are finalized, they shall be used
to direct and control future development in the village.

The December meeting of the
Holyrood Women's Institute will be
a smorgasbord supper on Decem-
ber 4th.. Mrs. Raynard Ackert
will be hostess and the roll 'call will
be "A Christmas Verse". The
members will divide into four
groups according to the season in
which their birthday falls and each
group to prepare a program
number. This is the Sunshine
Sister gift exchange. ' Director,
Mrs. P. A. Murray.
Mr. • and 'Ars. Jack Scott, Edna
and. May Boyle were Sunday
evening dinner guests with Mr.
and 'Mrs. Maurice Hodgins at
London. Other relatives were also
present from London and Bayfield
to honour Mrs. Irene MaCKenzie,
who will soon be retiring to her
home at Moose Jaw, Saskatche-
wan.
On Sundiy • morning at the
Anglican service Tara Kay, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Thacker,
was baptized.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Graham of
Lucknow entertained friends on
Tuesday.
On Sunday next at 11 o'clock, a
parish service will be held at' St,
John's Church, Bervie.

The November meeting of Kair-
shea Women's Institute was held at
the home of Mrs. Allan MacDoug-
all. The meeting opened with the
Opening Ode and repeating of the
Mary Stewart Collect. The
president, Mrs. Cliff Roulsion,
welcomed all present, and gave a
reading, "If God Went on Strike".
The scripture was read by Mrs.
Geo. MacBride. The roll call - "A
current event pertaining to Agricul-
ture" was answered by 20—merri-
bers (1 visitor present).
Three members attended Silver
Lake Bazaar and Tea. The matter
of going to Pinecrest Manor to put
on some form of entertainment was
discussed with Mrs. Evan Keith in
charge and to be reported on later.
Achievement Day for "Creative
Stitchery" will be held in Ripley
December 0. The Standing
Committee reports were given by
conveners followed by a sing song.
The report on Area Convention
held in Own Sound was given by
Mrs. Cliff Roulston and a reading
by Mrs,. Bill Haldinby. - A skit
followed '- "Whether a man ends
up with a nest egg or a goose egg
depends on the •chick he marries".
Actors: Mrs. Philip Steer, Mrs. Ted
Collyer, Mrs. Clarence Ritchie and
Mrs. Virdin Mowbray. A word
contest on Agriculture was con-
ducted by Mrs.' Cliff Roulston.
Decethber meeting,' Christmas
meeting, with hostess, Mrs. Harry
Lavis. Roll call .- Sing, say or pay
pertaining to Christmas.
Courtesy remarks were given by
Mrs. George McBride, followed by
singing of 0 Canada and The
Grace. Lunch was served by the
hostess' and directors Mrs. Cliff
Roulston and Mrs. George Mc-
Bride.
Treat Injuries
At Hospital
On November 21st, in a motor
vehicle accidefit, Miss Joan Tiffin
of R. R. 2 Teeswater, the lone
occupant of the car, lost control of
her vehicle and 'went into the ditch
on concession 2, Culross Township.
She was admitted to hospital with
minor injuries and lacerations. The
accident was investigated by Con-
stable Adams.
There area only two kinds of
parking today—illegal and none.

Hospital were on Friday Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Moss . of Plattsville,
Mrs. Eileen Parker of Exeter on
Saturday, and on Sunday Mr. and
Mrs. Melvin • McClenaghan of
Waterloo. • .

Saturday evening attended Lang-
side Community Hall where a
program was held to honor Mr. and
Mrs. George Young , and family,
wko moved to Wingham and for
Mrs. Robert Stewart, who moved to
Teeswater. The evening was
planned by Mrs. Bob Mann; Mrs.
Visser and Mrs. Peter de Boer.
The Youngs were presented with
an electric clock and gift of money.
Mrs. Stewart • was remembered
with a lamp, dishes and gift of
money: All replied thanking the
sponsors for their thoughtfulnes in
remembering them.
The Women's Institute held their
first euchre party for the winter
months on Wednesday evening last
With 5 tables in play. Prizes went
to high lady, Mrs.. Cliff Johnston;
high gent, Ellwood Elliott; lucky
prize, Frank Maulden.
Mrs. Bill Burt entertained
friends on Friday night at a bridal
shower in honour of Linda Stemler
and Danny Fisher,. and on Monday
evening the Kinlough area ladies
met at the same home for a bridal
shower for Miss Connie Preiss.
Both brides received lovely gifts
and all enjoyed the social evenings.

newlyweds.
