The president, Mrs. Cliff Roulsion, welcomed all present, and gave a reading, "If God Went on Strike". The scripture was read by Mrs. Geo. MacBride. The roll call - "A current event pertaining to Agricul- ture" was answered by 20—merri- bers (1 visitor present). Three members attended Silver Lake Bazaar and Tea. The matter of going to Pinecrest Manor to put on some form of entertainment was discussed with Mrs. Evan Keith in charge and to be reported on later. Achievement Day for "Creative Stitchery" will be held in Ripley December 0. The Standing Committee reports were given by conveners followed by a sing song. The report on Area Convention held in Own Sound was given by Mrs. Cliff Roulston and a reading by Mrs,. Treat Injuries At Hospital On November 21st, in a motor vehicle accidefit, Miss Joan Tiffin of R. R. 2 Teeswater, the lone occupant of the car, lost control of her vehicle and 'went into the ditch on concession 2, Culross Township. She was admitted to hospital with minor injuries and lacerations. The accident was investigated by Con- stable Adams. There area only two kinds of parking today—illegal and none. Some from Whiteehurch on Saturday evening attended Lang- side Community Hall where a program was held to honor Mr. and Mrs. George Young , and family, wko moved to Wingham and for Mrs. Robert Stewart, who moved to Teeswater. The evening was planned by Mrs. Bob Mann; Mrs. Visser and Mrs. Peter de Boer. The Youngs were presented with an electric clock and gift of money. Mrs. Stewart • was remembered with a lamp, dishes and gift of money: All replied thanking the sponsors for their thoughtfulnes in remembering them. The Women's Institute held their first euchre party for the winter months on Wednesday evening last With 5 tables in play. Prizes went to high lady, Mrs.. Cliff Johnston; high gent, Ellwood Elliott; lucky prize, Frank Maulden. Mrs. Bill Burt entertained friends on Friday night at a bridal shower in honour of Linda Stemler and Danny Fisher,. and on Monday evening the Kinlough area ladies met at the same home for a bridal shower for Miss Connie Preiss. Both brides received lovely gifts and all enjoyed the social evenings. Our best wishes go to the newlyweds. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Haldenby, Leanne, Glen and Eric returned home Friday from their Western vacation. • •At Vernon, British Columbia, they visited Mr. and • Mrs. Mervyn Creight and boys, at Winnipeg with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Munro and boys and at Cochrane with Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Jansen and family.
