Mrs. Ezra Stanley, Lucknow, were Mr. and Mrs. Everrett Stanley of Linden, Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. Morris McKinnon of Teeswater, Mrs. Marretta Hodgins of London. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Stanley and Mr. Everrett Stanley were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Foreman of Hanover on Monday night. Mrs. Harvey Houston was guest speaker at the Blue Lake and Auburn branch of the Women's Institute in the North Brant District at the Community Centre in St. George, November 13th. She was accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth Houston who visited with friends at Ancaster. Dungannon WI. On November 5 at 8.30 p.m. Dungannon Women's Institute met at the home of Mrs. Russel Alton in Goderich. Mrs. Elmer Black, 1st vice president, presided and wel- comed 17 members and four visitors. A guest, Mrs. Harvey Webster, of Lucknow closed her motto with thepoem, "If God went on strike!", The Area Convention report was well prepared and given by the president, Mrs. Graham McNee, who along with Mrs. E. Black had attended the two-day convention in St. Thomas. The topic on "Culture" was given by Mrs. Bert Alton of Lucknow, who spoke of culture in Australia, a land of contrasts. Her topic was instructive and interest- ing. Gifts were given to each guest speaker from the convener, Mrs. R. Alton. Collection was received and courtesies expressed, followed by singing the Queen and W.I. Grace. A social time was' enjoyed when hostesses Mrs. Wilbur Brown, Mrs. W. A. Stewart, Mrs. E Black, served cake and ice cream. Ludmow Fleas started the hock- ey season with two losses, both 'by one goal in real close contests. At Ripley on November 13th, the final score was 5-4 in Ripley's favour. Scoring for Lucknow were.
