The marriageOf Suzanne Sandra
Lee Garniss, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. William Cecil Garniss of
Lucknow and Allan Keith Reid, son
of Mr. Milvert Reid and the late
Mrs. Reid of R. R. 3 Lucknow„ took
place-at Luckno* United Church on
,Saturday, September 27th at 5,30
p.m. Sprays of mums; glads and
pink carnations, with greens and
fern decorated the altar.
Rev. Doug Kaufman was minist-
er. Miss Mary Ellen Havens 'of
Lucknow was organist.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a floor-length
gown of white polyester crepe
featuring wide lace trim with lovely
gold French knots on front, sleeves
and waist. Her long nylon net veil
was held by a pearl-covered tiara.
She wore her great grandmother's
heirloom broad% of pearls and
turquoiSe.
Matron of honour was the bride's
sister Mrs. Zena Riegling. She
wore a gown of lime polyester
crepe with lace on the sleeves and
waist,, with a head comb of
matching ribbon and beads.
Bridesmaids were Miss Heath-
er Mauer in a pink gown, Miss
Sheila Maclntyre in yellow and
Mrs. John Moir (Catherine Duns-
muir) in blue. The gowns were all
styled the same as the matron of
honour's.
Groomsman was Dennis Eisen,
hopher of Wingham.
Ushers were Lloyd Reid and
Murray Reid, brothers of t?e
groom and Peter Keil,..brother-m-
law of the groom.
A reception followed at the
Lucknow Legion Hall at 9 p.m.' The
bride's table was decorated with
flowers and yellow roses decorated
the wedding cake..
The bride's mother received the
guests wearing a floor-length gown
of olive green polyester with
matching lace coat and gold
accessories.
For travelling the bride chose a
mauve polyester dress with lace
trim.
Following their wedding trip the
couple are residing at Clinton.
Guests from a distance were the
bride's aunts and uncles Mr.-and
Mrs. Lloyd Hall of Huntsville, Mr.
and Mrs. Russ' Garniss of Toronto,
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Stoykoff of
Toronto; cousins Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Swan; Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Mootz, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Smith,
all of Toronto and Mr. .and Mrs.
Roger Greenough of Oshawa and
Mr. and Mrs. , Mac Spafford,
friends of Belleville; and Mr. and
Mrs. Nelson- Morden of Toronto
and Mrs.. Lorna Clipperton of
London, aunts and uncle of the
groom.

Died In Walkerton
MRS. ANDREW BANNERMAN
The death- of Mrs. Andrew
Bannerman of Walkerton occurred
suddenly at her home on Thursday,
October 16. She was 72.
Mrs. Bannerman was the former
Anna D. Haines and was born in
Culross ToWnship on AUguat 30,
1903.
On August 30, 1921 she married
Andrew Bannerman who survives;
also three . daughters Mrs. R. J.
(Ileen) Kaake of Walkerton, Mrs.
Arthur (Bernice) Melvin, of Chat-
ham and Mrs. Joe D. (Jean)
Schiestel 'of Teeswater.
She was predeceased by one
sister Mrs. Carrie Bannerman and
one brother George Haines.
Mrs. Bannerman was a member
of. St. Paul's United Church,
WalkertOn, St. Paul's United
Church Women and the Senior
Citizens. She resided at Riversdale
until 1959 when they moved to
Walkerton.
The funeral service was held at
Tanner Pearson -Funeral Home,
Walkerton on Saturday, October
18. Rev. Ron Pierce was minister:
Burial was in Walkerton Cemet-
ery..
Pallbearers were grandsons,
Andrew Melvin of Riversdale,
Douglas Melvin of Chatham, Larry
Stanley .of Walkerton, and nephews
Donald Haines of Exeter, Donald
Green of Teeslivater, Leonard
Bannerman of Culross.
Songs from Camp Council and
the Leaderama were enjoyed at this
week's Lucknow C.G.I.T. meeting.
Debra Arnold was Welcomed as a
new member. Leader Nancy
Ritchie read the scripture- and
Debra read a modern interpretation
of it. A litany prayer was led by
Irene 'Reitknecht. President Jo-
anne Ritchie presented Debra with
her pin and membership
card and then led in the C.G.I.T.
purpose and hymn.
' Susan Thompson read the min-
utes and the Offering was received.
Mrs. Nelson discussed collecting
used toys and buying some for the
Salvation Army and Children's Aid
to distribute at Christmas. Some of
the group will decorate the
windows at Pinecrest Nursing
Home and the girls will make
decorations for the church Christ-
mas tree.. The Vesper Service will
be Sunday evening, December 14.
