After many. attempts to have a
hike which were foiled by bad
weather, the , Lucknow Guides
finally went hiking last 'Thursday
after school.
Each patrol built its own fire, and
the girls cooked hot dogs and
banana boats.
Eleven girls, one visitor and
three leaders made the hike and
were joined by a praying mantis
and a mischievous pup along the
way. The praying mantis wasn't
much of a problem, but the pup
was a nuisance to the point of
eating the ketchup. •
The girls are planning a Hal--
lowe'en party for this week's
meeting.
