ed the altar of Lucknow United
Church for the wedding on
Saturday, September 13th at 4 p.m,
of Ruth Anne Brooks and Donald R.
Savage.
The bride is a. daughter,. of Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon Brooks of
Lucknow and the groom is a son of
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Savage 'of
Kincardine.
Reir. Doug Kaufman officiated at
the double ring ceremony.

She wore a floor-length wrap-
around polyester gown, with short
cape sleeves. The goWn was peach
coloured accented with apricot,
blue and green floral design.' She
wore a wide-brimmed straw hat
with an apricot coloured chiffon
scarf and matching flower. She
carried a nosegay of white gladioli,
peach tinted carnations and white
button mums.
Bridesmaids , were Kathy Brooks,
Lucknow, sister of the bride; Joan
Laye, St. Thomas and Liz Callahan,
Teeswater, both friends of the
bride.
Their dresses and flowers were
the • same as the matron of
honour's.
The groom's attire was a dark
brown tuxedo with' white ruffled
shirt, brown Vest and bow tie and
white stephanotis' boutonniere. His
attendants were similarly attired
with carnation boutonnieres tinted
to match bridesmaid's gowns.
Groomsman was John D. Coiling
of R. R. 4 Ripley, friend of the
groom. ,
Ushers were Bruce Ross' of
Toronto, Bill Mitchell of Kincard-
ine, both friends of the groom , and
Don Brooks of Lucknow, brother of
the bride, _
Music was , by three brothers
Boyd, Blain and Gary Carruthers of
Ripley accompanied by ,their sister
Mrs. Karen Martyn, R. R. 3
Lucknow, as organist. They sang
"0 Perfect Love" preceding the
ceremony and "I Bless The Day I
`Met You", during the signing of
the register.
• A dinner followed at the Luck-,'i
now •Legion Hall, which was
decorated with lighted tapers in
candelabra with flowers. Single
long-stemmed peach tinted carna-
tions decorated the dinner tables
with the bride's table centred with
a round 3-tiered wedding cake on a
pedestal cake plate, accented with'
flowers similar to those in the
bride's bouquet.
The bride's mother received the
guests wearing' a long gown of
shrimp chiffon over taffeta, featur-
ing a front. panel of antique white
with bead trim at waistline and
wrist-length cape' sleeves. Her
corsage was white orchids.
She was assisted by the groom' s
mother, wearing a long gown of
robin's egg blue sheer over taffeta
with Wrist-length sleeves and
yellow orchid corsage.
A reception dance followed in tbe
Lucknow Arena that evening.
For travelling the bride chose a
wool plaid jacket, rust coloured
skirt," beige jersey shirt and 'gold
accessories.
Following a wedding trip in
North Eastern United States and
Eastern Ontario the couple are
residing at 456 Durham Street,
Kincardine.

Indian Summer and sunshine
have helped many with late fall
harvesting of corn and grain.
Harvesting of raspberries, second
crop beans, green onions are
common place this fall with lots of
rain and to date with no frost, the
flowers are still in profusion.

bodice and full length of skirt

The front of bodice was appliqued
with lace motifs. The slim fitting
sleeves were finished with a ruffle
