The Processional started prompt- ly and the stage guests and graduates filed into the gymnas- ium. The dedication was given by. Richard Sands, minister' of Knox Presbyterian Church, Ripley. The first trophy to be given out was the school spirit trophy. Miss Janice Fisher presented it to' Gail Mes- senger. Next was the Ripley Women's Institpte prize given to Grant Farrell by Mrs. Graham Cook. The Secondary School Gradua tion Diplomas were given out. They went to last year's Grade 12 students, Kerry Boyle Bob Camp- bell, Susan Carter, Robert Col- quhoun, Mike Di Giovanni, Barb ara Grubb, Peter Huston, Courtney Liddle, Patti MacDOnald, Peter MacDonald, Carol MacKay, Barry Marshall, Julie McGuire, Nancy McGuire, Ken McLeod, Linda . Messenger, Debbie Peterbaugh, Janice Reeves, Wray Thompson, Arlene Tranter. • These diplomas were announced by, Floyd Stanley and were presented by Cameron MCAuley. The Principal's Award for Out- standing Scholastic Achievement was given to Grant Farrell by William Turvill. • The Girls Glee Club then sang under the, direction of Arlene Tranter. Carol MacKay and Ann Farrell were the pianists. They sang two selections "It's a Small World After All" and "Time in a Bottle". The Sub-Lieut. John A. MacLeod Memorial prize was given to Connie Pollack by Doug Coultes. The School Letters were present- ed by Edward Brown and Doug Coultes. Activity Letters 'went to Bob Campbell, Margie Collins, Carol McKay, Nancy McGuire and Arlene Tranter. Athletic Inter- schOol Letters went to Randy Ackert, Laurie Coiling, Janice Farrell, Donna-Gallant, Patti Mac- Donald, Wray Thompson, Priscilla Zipfel. Athletic Intermural Letters went to Margie Collins, Kim Farrell, Courtney Liddle, Greg Liddle, Peter MacDonald, Julie McGuire and Arlene Tranter. Scholastic Letters went to Margie Collins, Carol MacKay, and Ken MacKay. Senior School Letters were won by 'Margie Collins, Gail Messenger and Julie McGuire. The • William Turvill Progress Award was awarded to' Donna Elphick, Janice Reeves and Greg Liddle by Mrs. Katherine Collins, and William Turvill. Sam Malhotra announced the Ontario Scholars while C. Beamer presented them. The Ontario Scholars are • Grant Farrell, Gail Messenger and Connie Pollock. The winners of the Couch. Bursary were Debbie Beard and Cathy Moore. Cook; Level 4 - Patti MacDonald,, Nancy McGuire, Barbara Grubb and Wray.
