Mr. VV,hiher said trustees "look-
ed at the competition" •in what he
termed "a strictly competitive
field" before setting, salaries for
the, top administration.
The board's supervisor of build-
ings and maintenance wilt receive
$19,500, as will the supervisor of
transportation and purchasing,
while the chief accountant and
office manager will receive
$21,200.

had only a Home Helpers' group.
In 1952 a W.M.S. was again
organized with' 18 members. Mrs.
Wm. Darling who had given
leidership to the,.Home Helpers'
group.-was presented with". a' Life,
Membership by the new society. A
highlight of each year is • when a
Life Membership is presented to 'a
faithful member. This year, 1975
one of our members, Mrs. Alvin
Mundell is president of Synodical.
Mrs. Jean MacDonald told that
Gorrie W.M.S. was' organized in
1941 with 15 members and this is
also the present membership. A
special 'Centennial meeting was
held in July 1975 with Mrs. Mae
Moyer of Owen Sound the guest
speaker.
Mrs. Ronald Forster told that the
Lucknow Presbyterian Young
Women's Missionary Society was,
the first formed in this Presbyterial
and was during the ministry of
Robert McCallum in 1921.

.organization meeting. In 1946 the
name was changed to, Evening
Auxiliary. This made it possible for
women of any age to attend if any
evening meeting was more conven-
ient..In 1951 they helped organize,
Ripley's Evening Auxiliary.
Mrs. Ralph Nixon reported that
the Witigham (Goforth) Evening
Auxiliary was formed in 1927 with
16 ladies under the leadership of
Mrs. A. E. Lloyd. It was known
then as Sr. Mission Band. In 1931
the name ' was changed to Goforth.
Mission Band and in 1934 to
Goforth Evening Auxiliary. Pres-
ent membership is 55 active and 14
Home Helpers. Highlights have
been hosting the Biennial Confer-
ence, and visits to the local Nursing
Home.
Mrs. Donald Gillies stated that
'Ripley Evening Auxiliary was
organized in 1951 to accommodate
young mothers and working girls.
The average attendance was 17'and
now is' 30. The Thankoffering
meetings are held jeintly with the
Afternoon Auxiliary.
Molesworth's Nightingale Even-
ing Auxiliary was reported by Mrs.
Norman McMiirchy. It was
organized in '1959 as an associate
group, so it could. also help locally
with financial aid for eqUiprnent for
the Sunday SchOoL
Mrs.' Henry ,MacKenzie, the,
Presbyterial Historian told of other
groupswhich had been organized
and are now' disbanded- or amal-
.gamated with another W.M.S. in
this or another Presbyterial. These
included S.K. Helens,' Bervie, Ethel,
Belgtave, Wroxeter, Pine River,
Eadie's, Lane's, Chalmer's at
Armow, Dungannon, Walton, Port
Albert, McIntosh and Riversdale.
• Most of the W.M.S. groups have
provided 'leadership for. Mission
Bands as early as 1887. In 1953 the
name was changed to C.O.C.
(Children of the Church). There
are also Explorers and C.G.I.T.
The first missionary magazine
was "The Pioneer", later called
"The Missionary 'Messenger".
Now we have Glad Tidings.
:The rally continued with Mrs.
Bob Campbell giving devotion on
Hebrews 11:8 using the Centennial
theme - Remembrance, Renewal
and Response. God's promise to
Abraham and Sarah brought new
life. There is hope for the church:
We must step out in faith, go and
tell, and be armed with knowledge.
The minutes of the last sectional
meeting were read by Mrs. Ewan
MacLean who also took the roll call.
Mrs. Evan Keith . gave the
treasurer's report. The offering
was received and prayer was given
by Mrs. Visser, Langside.
An amusing skit was presented
by South Kinloss W.M.S. conduct-
ing a meeting full of mistakes.
Mts. Walter Ballagn cif Teeswat-
er thanked all who had planned and
taken part in• the Rally. The
meeting closed with a hymn and
prayer by Mrs. Brush. The two
Wingham, Auxiliaries served lunch.
