Six ladies from Purple Grove and Ripley Were in the group. They were Mrs. Dan Gillies, Mrs. Anne McCosh, Mrs. Paul Greenwood and Jean-Paul, Mrs. Francis Boyle; and Mrs. Earl Elliott. At Elmira they were guests in the Mennonite Community there and gathered in the big red church where they listened to an address. Home here this past week was Mrg°. T. E. Marion from Lahr, Germany. Earlier in the past week Miss Christens Robertson visited with her sister Martha and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Ford, in Cobourg. While Chris 'was away, her sister , Mrs. Elvira Mewhinney was here with their mothei, Mrs. Mary Robertson. * * •* * * * Interior cleaning and- some painting has been done in the Ripley Chopping Mill during the past two weeks. Perhaps this mill now owned by Ron Stanley of Bervie will once again be open. It was nice to see' Alex Macintosh back again. During the latter part of last week Mr. and Mrs. Wilson' Ford and Linda of Cobourg returned home with Miss Chris Robertson to Ripley where they visited here. On the week end Mr. and Mrs. Ross Ford and, young son Michael of Cobourg were here with Mrs. Mary Robertson and Christena Robert- son. While here Ross and .Judy visited with. Mr. and Mrs Donnie Fludder. * * * * * Guest speaker at the commence- ment program last Friday evening here was Donnie Blue of Toronto - a graduate of the Ripley ' District High School a few years back. While here he renewed acquaint- ances and visited with his mother Mrs. Margaret Blue and sisters Mrs. Betty Scott and. Mrs. Bertha Scott.
