The home of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart
Jamieson of Lucknow has been sold
to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ferguson.
The Jamieson family are build-
ing a new home in Wiarton where
Stuart is employed with the Co-op.
Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson have
farmed in the Amberley area for
many years. The Ferguson farm is.
located in Huron Township on the
road between Amberley and Am-
berley, Beach, the extension of
Highway 86.
The sale was cofhpleted by B. A.
McDonagh Real Estate of Luck-
now.
The elevation of a man's head
is his chief character witness.

Riegling of R. R. 3 Lucknow on

Wingham and. District Hospital, a

82nd Birthday
Mrs. Mabel Campbell of Luck-
now observed her 82nd birthday on
Saturday, October 18th. In honour
of the occasion her three nieces,
Miss Mabel MacDonald, Mrs. Jean
West, both of Ashfield and Mrs.
Sadie Hamilton of Lucknow, took
her on a birthday outing. They
visited at' Port Elgin with Mr. and
Mrs. Neil MacDonald and in
Kincardine with, he. son, Mr. and.
Mrs., Wm. Campbell.
Neighbours presented Mrs.
Campbell with a beautiful birthday
cake and as well she received many
cards of best wishes.

At Flower Shows
The October meeting of the
Ripley and District Horticultural
Society was held at the home of
Mrs. Ewan MacLean on Monday
afternoon, October 27th.
The meeting opened with "0
Canada" and the Lord's prayer
repeated in unison. Mrs. Glenn
Stanley, president of the society,
was in charge of the meeting. A
minute's silence was observed for
three faithful members, who had
passed away during the past year,
Mrs. Gordon Stanley, Mrs. Charles
Wylds and Mrs. Ernest Pollock.
Mrs.,Ben Ruttle conducted the "In
Memoriam".
Roll call was answered by 27
members and 1 visitor. The report
of the August Flower Show was
given. Correspondence was 'read
by Mrs. Charles Smith. All
Horticulture Societies receiv ed an
increase in the provincial grant.
The Spring Flower Show normally
held at the O'KEEFE Centre will
be held in 1976 froin March 9th to
14th in the "Automotive Building
of the Canadian National Exhibi-
tion grounds".
Mrs. Glenn Stanley reported on
the meeting held at Mrs. Klies in
Hanover when District 8 Horticul-
ture Society presidents met to
outline the plans for helping
