McKay and Robert J. Ritchie on
Saturday, September bth at 4 p.m.'
The, bride is a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Richard McKay of
Geertsma.

Died At Walkerton.
MRS. ALEX HACKETI'
After several month's illness
Mrs. Alex' (Clara) Hackett died on
Saturday, October '11th in Walker-
ton Hospital.
The former Clara Elliott was
born in Huron Township, July
22nd,. 1888, the daughter of Mr..
and Mrs. William 'Elliott. She was
predeceased some years ago by her
first husband Philip Downey and an
infant son Elliott.
Mrs. Hackett, a member of the
United .Church and a former
resident of Lucknow, is survived by
her husband Alex (Sandy) Hacked
of Brucelea Haven, Walkerton and
one brother Howard of Detroit,
Michigan:-
She was also predeceased by
three sisters namely Mrs. Wesley
(Sarah) Pollock, Mrs. Robert (Eve-
lyn) Baird, Mrs. (Eliza Ackert)
Walker and five brothers, John,
Joe, George, William and Ralph.
The funeral service was held on
Monday, October 13th .from Mac-
Letinan-McCreath Funeral Home,
Ripley. Mr. Richard Sand conduct-
ed the service. Interment was in
Ripley Cemetery.
Pallbearers were 2 stepsons Cliff
and Mel Hackett; and nephews
Goldie Harris, Bryce Elliott,, Clay-
ton Elliott and Elmer Courtney.
Flower beaters were Jack Ack-
ert, Jack Campbell, Carl Hooey and
Bob Harris, all nephews of the
deceaSed.
Howard Elliott and son Clayton
of Detroit, Michigan attended the •
funeral service, also Mr. and Mrs.
Clayton Patterson,:. daughter and
husband and Evan Patterson' of
Guelph.
