Visits First Time
In Twelve Years
Mr. and Mrs. James England
and Mrs. Joan Robinson of
Lucknow were pleasantly surprised
on Saturday last, when their niece,
Mrs. Bob Davis of Flint, Michigan
called on them. Mrs. Davis is the
daughter of Mrs. Ever Wilson (nee
Nellie England), sister of Jim and
the late Jack England. It had been
twelve years since she was here
last, when she attended the funeral
-of the herlate uncle Jack.
When a child she visited many
times with heft grandparents, the
late Mr. and Mrs.' Joseph England ,
of Rapid City. Her husband and
three sons accompanied her.
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Hugh. McWhinney, Dungannon.

R. 1 Mitchell was matron of honour
and bridesmaids were Mrs. Lexie

The couple are residing at 358
Francis Street, Wingham following
a honeymoon in Northern Ontario.

Bev Kay's mother has fallen again
and she has had to be hospitalized

Tuesday to Thursday with Mr. and
Mrs. Mack Stewart, of Waterloo.
Mrs. Eileen Parker of Exeter
came to Mr. and Mrs. Carl
McClenaghan's and on Saturday
with them attended the wedding of
their niece, Jane Moss and Jim
McCartney at Plattsville United
Church at 7 p.m. 'The reception
was held in the Hall. Mr. and Mrs.,
Carl McClenaghan and Mrs. Park-
er spent the week end with Mr. and
Mrs. Melvin McClenaghan of
WaterloO. •
Whitechurch Women's Institute
at their meeting October 8 decided
to have Family Night and Pot Luck
supper on October 24. ,They now
find there are too many other
functions being held so there will
be no Family Night on October 24
and another night will have to be
arranged. '
Billie Falconer of Barrie was a
recent visitor with Mrs. Lester
Falconer of Cuiross and other '
friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Conn,
after 2 weeks in the west and
British Columbia, arrived home on
Friday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Smith Were
very pleased with the garage sale
which they had on Saturday. Most
of their articles were 'sold.
Misses Barbara and Jean Camp-
belt of London spent the week end
with Mrs. Robert Ross and
attended the farm auction sale of
Russel Ross.

week end with Mr. and Mrs. Russel
