NEWS The National Farmers Union women in Region 3 (Ontario) were fortunate to be selected as one of the groups to receive a grant from the Federal Government for their project for International Women's Year. • The name chosen for the project is "Farm Women in Our Society". It is expected that the results of the project will shoW that farm women 'can, and do contribute a great deal to the farm unit and to society for which they receive little, if, any, recognition. A survey of farm families will be conducted to determine the input of women .to the operation of the farm. About 2000 questionnaires will be completed in Ontario and slides taken showing actual farm work performed by women. A report from' these will then be prepared and printed. Local 335 committee members for the project are Mrs. Lorne McDonald, chairla'dy; Mrs. John Howard; Mrs. John Austin. • General: purpose, Self- - adhesive weatherstripping.
