Mr. and Mrs. Elgin , Johnston
returned from a tour through
Canadian Rockies to Vancouver
and Victoria. They also visited
cousins; Mr. and Mrs. John Gould,
at Consul in Southern Idaho. They'
went by plane to Calgary and the
rest of the way by bus and returned
to Calgary to come home by plane.

Ten counsellors in training for a
United Church camp and their
leaders, Jim Pepper and Dave
Woodall from Chatham, attended
service at the United Church on
Sunday. One of the boys, Karl
Evers, a grandson of the late -Mr.
Karl De Koeijer former preacher at
the United Churcliehere, presented
a new Hymri Book for the pulpit in
remembrance of his grandfather.
He alsopresented one at Bluevale. -
The book was dedicated by Rev. W.
Brown. After the service the ladies
of the church gave the group lunch
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dave
Gibb.

WEDDING RECEPTION
On Friday evening a wedding
reception was held in Whitechurch
Community, Memorial Hall in
honour of Mr. and Mrs. Paul
Laidlaw, newlyweds. A large
crowd attended.
The Alley Cats supplied music
for the party. At lunch time Paul
and Ruth were called to the
platform, given seats of honour
while Archie Purdon read an
address and John Martin preSented
them with a gift of money: Both
°Paul and Ruth replied, thanking all
for coming' to the party, to the,
sponsors of the party, the gift and
they invited any when in Windsor
to come and visit them. All sang
For They Are Jolly Good Fellows
and dancing was resumed to the
closing hour.
On Sunday evening Mr. and
Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw and 'Jane, Mr.
and Mrs. Paul Laidlaw visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ducharme at
