Barb DeVisscher, Home Economist, Bruce County LETTER. TO THE EDITOR Seeks Information About Family September-30,1975. The Editor, Lucknow Sentinel, Box 38, Lucknow, Ontario. Dear Sir, I would very much appreciate it if you could find room in your paper for this message. i‘ have recently begun some research on my family' tree and I am looking for connections to it. According to my information, there were three Dewar ,brothers who emigrated from Glenelg, Scotland to Canada. Donald, Dewar, my great-grandfather, settled in Glen- garry County in 1832. His brother Malcolm also settled in Glengarry and a third brother (name un- known) is thought to have gone to Bruce County. I would be .very interested in hearing from anyone with a Dewar surname or anyone who 'has any information about Dewars who may have lived in Bruce. I would also appreciate being put in, touch with any historical or genealogical societies which may exist in the area. Thank you very much for your co-operation. Yours truly, Malcom Dewar, 14561, Heatherington Rd., Ottawa, Ontario.
