Bible Society Plan
October Canvass
„The Lucknow branch of the
Canadian Bible Society held it
annual meeting on Tuesday of last
week in the Lucknow Presbyterian'
Church.
Dr. J. E. Little has resigned as
president and Rev. Glen. Noble will
act as chairman until a new
president has been appointed.
Mrs. Bob Damsma will continue as
secretary and Allan Johnson as
treasurer.
The Bible Society will be holding
its annual canvass in Lucknow and
area during October. The commit-
tee hope the community will give
generously to' this worthwhile
cause 'of translating, publishing
and distributing the Holy Bible.

day morning at the swimming' pool
(or arena in case of bad weather)
from 8.30 to 10 a.m. The walk will
commence at 9 a.m.
There are five checkpoints in the
walk, symbolic of the five rings in
the Olympic symbol. The first and
last check point is at the swimming
pool.
Walkers will proceed 2 1/2 miles
west on Highway 86 to Bob Irwin's
corner, then north 2% miles to the
4th,of Kinloss, east 2% miles to the
Lucknow-Holyrood road ;
2 1/2 miles to Lucknow.
