Council will make a bid fOr the 1976
Wardenship.
The. are Roy Hammen of Arran
Township and Alex Lamont of
Saugeen Township. Mr. Lamont
has had five years on County
Council and Mr. Hammell, three
years. Mr. Lamont's father, the
late Donald Lamont, was Bruce
Warden in 1956 when he, too, was
Saugeen Township Reeve.
The, wardenship has been alter-
nated between rural and urban
Reeves in . Bruce County. Chesley
• Reeve, Vernon Emke, suggested
that this custom 'should be abolish-
ed now that the county council has
been reduced to 31 seats from 48.
