test, held Saturday evening at the
Lucknow Arena in conjunction with
the Fall Fair.
Elizabeth Armstrong, 16, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Arinstrong
Of R. 4 Wingham, was 4th in the
contest,-winning $20.00. Elizabeth
played the piano: She attends F. E.
Madill Secondary School in Wing-
ham.
Denise Kennedy, who sang and
played the guitar, placed 3rd and
won $30.00. Denise, who is 15 and
attends Walkerton Sacred Heart
Secondary School, is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Kennedy of
Teeswater.
Pat . Stackhouse, 12-year-old step
dancer, placed 'first winning
$60.00. Pat, a Public School
student, is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Vic Stackhouse of Londes-
,boro.
Terry, 15, and Margaret, 13,
Tusz, who sang and played guitars,
placed second, winning $45.00.
The girls are the daughters of Dr.
and Mrs. L. J. Tusz of Kincardine.
They are grade 11 and 10 students
at Kincardine District Secondary
School. • .
Glen Walden, president of the
Lucknow Agricultural Society,
presented the prizes to these
winners.
Russel Irvin, 1st vice president,
presented $15.00 to each of the
other four contestants who compet-
ed. They were Suzanne Corrin of
Lucknow, gymnastics; Stephen
Pritchard, R. 2 Lucknow, soloist
accompanied by his mother Mrs.
Tom Pritchard, Don. Coatsworth,
London, solo S and guitar; Anna
McSween, Kincardine, ballet dan-
cer.
Judges were Mrs. Wallace
Pollock of Ripley, Russell Zurbrigg
of Wingham and Gary Jewitt,
Clinton, principal of Brookside
School.
Jim Swan of Wingham was
master of ceremonies. '
The Baby Contest at the Luck-
now Fair drew 35 entries this year.
'There were three-classes with three
prizes $5.00, $3.00 and $2.00 given
in each class. Mrs. Art LeGrand of
Teeswater and Mrs. Doug Simpson
of R..2 Teeswater were the judges
assisted with registering by Mrs.
Jack MacDonald and Miss Ruth
Thompson of Lucknow.
There were eleven entries in the
up to 4 months class, ten of them
being girls, and the, only boy Randy
David Lanting, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Lanting of Kincardine took
the first prize. Crystal Lea
Haldenby, daughter of 'Mr. and
Mrs. Barry Haldenby, R. 1
Holyrood" was second. Christina
May' Kerr, daughter -of Mr. and
Mrs. Gary Kerr of R. 6 Godericli
was third. Other entries in this
class were Dana Joy, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Rick Park, Dungan-
non; Cherie Lynn, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Robin Wormington, R. 1
Bluevale; Trisha Lynn, daughter Of
