JAMES K. WILSON James K. Wilson of Goderich passed away on Tuesday, Septem- ber 16th at Wingham and District Hospital, following" a lengthy illness: He was 76. Ijs was born in West Wavvanosh Township on January 31, 1899, a son of William and Mary (Kirkland) Wilson. The late Mr. Wilson farmed in West Wawanosh .until 1967 when he retired .and moved to Goderich, where he has since resided. He was a member Of Knox Presbyter- ian Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine Crawford; a daughter Mrs David (Barbara Ann) Durnford of Ottawa; one son Murray Wilson 'of West Wawa- nosh; six grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Will (Jean) Reid of Dungannon, Mrs. Ernest (Elizabeth) Post of Normandale, Wallace Wilson 'of West Wawa- nosh. The funeral service was held at the McCallum Funeral Home, Goderich, on Thursday, September 18. Rev. Ronald C. McCallum was minister. Pallbearers were Bob McAllist- er, Morley Johnston, Ted Red- mond, Gordon Smyth, Dave Robin- son, Edwin Post.' 'Flower bearers were Douglas Reid, Cecil Cranston, Maurice Crawford, Jack' Reid. Interment was in Dungannon Cemetery. LANGSIDE Miss Margaret Moffat of Toronto and Mr : 'and Mrs. Graham Moffat of Teeswater :called at the ,homes of Jim Moffat, and , Clifford, Young on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ian Wallace, Nancy and Susan of ' London spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Steer. Sharon and Cindy Struthers of Lucknow, spent Sunday with their cousins Karen and Liane Young. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Young and Beth of, Hanover, Mrs. Eugene Gardner, Sandra, Greg and Shelley of Lucknow and Mr. and Mrs. George Young, Heather, Bradley and -Cheryl visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Young. Mrs. Annie Earle 'of Medicine Hat, Alberta, is visiting with her sister, Mr. . and Mrs. Graham Moffat of Teeswater. Mrs. Earle is ,the former Annie Taylor and when she was young lived on the Robert Stewart farm and went to school at Langside. Some• of the older residents may remember the Taylor family. Young people from this district spending the week end with their parents were Nancy and Simon de Boer, Helen Weirsma, Russell Young and Robert Bregman. Town and Country "Host Happy Hearts On September 16th, the Lucknow Town and Country Club entertain- ed the Happy Hearts Club` of • Ripley. A short program consisted of: a welcome by P. A. Murray, a sing song led by Walter Dexter, Bro. Carl gave 2 readings, Father Dentinger and Eugene Frayne sang 2 songs, Mrs. Harvey Webster, a solo, accompanied by Mrs. W. V. Johnston on the piano; solo by Miss Marianne Frayne, who also played for her father's songs; a skit by the ToWn and Country ladies. 30 tables of euchre were in play. High lady was Mrs. W. McDonald; high gent, Reg Godfrey; lucky draw, Mrs. Earl MacDonald. On September 18, 30 members travelled to Goderich for an enjoyable evening with their club. Euchre, and crokinole were played: High euchre scores went to Mrs. Harvey. Wepster, Raymond, LeOdy; Mr. Leddy also had the most lone hands. Mrs. E. Wightman won .the crokinole prize.
