On Wednesday evening. Sept-
ember 3rd. Dungannon Women's
Institute meeting was held at the
home of Mrs. George Errington,
with the theme Family Affairs. The
president. Mrs. Graham McNee,
welcomed 18 members, and open-
ed the meeting using the Opening
Ode. the Mary Stewart Collect and
0 Canada. Mrs. Gordon Finnigan
was pianist.
The ususal order of the meeting
was changed clue to the demonstra-
tion, "Baked in a pie". All were
then seated in the kitchen while
Mrs. George Errington, assisted by
Mrs. Roy Robson. prepared and
baked three dishes, cheeseburger
tie, quick Lorraine, and cheese
pastry. This was capably done and
two baking contests kept us
guessing.
Again in the living room the roll
611 was answered by naming your
favourite pie and how you make it.
The motto, "Good health, good
food, good friends are a blessing to
be cherished all our lives", was
well prepared by Mrs. Clifford
Purdon and read by Mrs. R.
Robson.
In the business period Mrs.
Harry Girvin. secretary-treasurer.
read the minutes of the August
meeting, and the money'on hand.
Date for the, Huron County Rally at
Belgrave is Monday. October 6,
and for the Arei Convention at St.
Thomas is October 15. and 16. A
card party is being planned for
October instead of our annual
spring card party. Mrs. Warren
Zinn is to be convener of the
committee to make all plans.
Discussion re Fashion Show and
Huron County Ploughing Match
are to be continued. Two quilts are
to be displayed at the Rally and
Mrs. Alvin Kerr is in charge of
them.
Courtesies were expressed and
collection and pennies received
followed by singing the Queen and
W.I. Grace. Mrs ; Errington had a
picture-name guessing contest just
before lunch. Lunch, consisting of
samples of the pastries and
pumpkin • tarts, brought a very
interesting meeting to a close.

Mrs. Roy Robson and Miss Iva
