The Lucknow Agricultural Society held a Talent Contest earlier in the year,
from which the following contestants were chosen to compete in this
final contest

115 Attend
McQuillin Reunion
The McQuillin clan held a
reunion on September 13th at' St.
Peter's Anglican Church hall.
There were approximately 115
present.
A short program consisting of
June Barrett and her puppet Butch,
guitar, violin,- piano and drum
selections and highland dancing
with bagpipe accompaniment was
enjoyed by all. Prizes were
awarded to Harry MeLean of
Teeswater as the oldest gentleman
present, 'Mrs. Annie McQuillin,
Pinecrest Manor, Lucknow, oldest
lady' and Sean McQuillin, son of
Jim and Bonnie of Guelph as the
youngest clan member. June and
Lea Barrett and family of James-
town, New York came the farthest
distance.
Others were present from, Luck-
novr, Thornhill, Willowdale, -Oak-
ville, Salem, Niagara .Falls, St.
Catharines, London, Angus, Wal-
ton, Goderich, Kitchener, Strat-
ford, Brantford, Cambridge, Wind-
sor, Ripley and Gowanstown.
A smorgasbord supper brought a
very enjoyable day to a close.

Do Housing Study
In Bruce County
The Bruce County South Plan-
ning Board reviewed submission's
by four planning firms before
selecting the Kleinfeldt Group of
London-to do-a-housing-study_ The
board will ask 'county council to
ratify its choice.
The planning board, which
embraces the 23 municipalities :in
the south of Bruce,' will, suggest to
county council that 'the survey
services be made available to the
entire county, including the Bruce
Peninsula Planning Board area.
The Ontario Government has
said it will subsidize the survey to a
maximum of $30,000 as it• recogniz-
es the acute housing situation in
Bruce is a result of 'Ontario Hydro's
construction project at Douglas
Point.
The study will detail-b-oth the
current situation and the projected
needs for housing, community
structure and soft services for a
10-year period instead of the, usual

Members of the West Winds
Sports ' Club,- Joe Martin, Jim
Martin, Clarence Doherty and
Vincent Austin of Ashfield Town-
ship, attended the 10th Annual.
Sports Hunt and Dog Show on
Saturday and Sunday in' Owen
Sound. The members showed their'
Registered Plott Coon dogs.
Vincent Austin showed Saugeen
Valley Sally which placed first in
her class in the Benich show.
Clarence Doherty placed second
with his entry of West Winds Cindy
in her class of the Bench show.
Joe Nfartin's Saugeen Valley
Drum• placed 3rd in the Treeing
contest.
Pam Agnew has returned this
week to Huron College, London, for
her 2nd year in Honours History.
She is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Agnew of Lucknow.

Hospital, London for their second
year in' nurse's training.

don this week in 'the engineering
course.
Kinloss Endorse
Extended Area For
Maitland Authority
Kinloss Council met on Septem-
ber 2nd at 7.30. the reeve and all
council present.
The installation of a 2nd. septic
tank bed was approved by Council
on Lot 14. Plan 152, concession 1.
A petition of Barry Johnston and
others was accepted for a municipal
drain on lOt 2. concession 7 and the
clerk was to notify Gamsby and
Mannerow • Ltd. for a plan and
report on the same.
Remuneration was increased to
$3.50 per hour for drainage
inspector, and to supply his-'own
transportation.
Severance was approved • on
South 1/2 lots 47 and 48, concession
1. Kinloss Township.
By-law 16-1975 was passed, a
zoning by-law for Kinloss Town-
ship.
A motion was made to have
News Web Enterprizes print 800
copies of zoning by-law subject to a
price quote from Lucknow Sentinel.
Approval was given to the
motion as drafted by the Maitland
Valley Conservation Authority for
enlargement of the Authority.
It was decided to place an order
for 100 cans of ruelene to be
delivered when present supply is
used up.
The following accounts were
ordered paid: General. $3,040.23;
Highways, $17,416.73. The meet-
ing was adjourned' to meet on
October 5th at 7.30 p.m.
