Starting kindergarten from the village were Tony Falconer, Dale Jamieson and Kimberley Laidlaw. As one drove along the highway on Tuesday morning, one easily realized that school haS re-opened. Big yellow buses were all over the universe. One could easily notice the first timers, the kindergarten . class, standing at the .gates and corners, all shined up and trying to remember the last instructions gi-en before leaving home. Mrs. Walter Elliott held Open House in honour of her daughter Ruth's forthcoming marriage on Saturday. The guests were welcomed at the door by Mrs. Elliott, Ruth and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw. The display of wedding gifts, shower gifts and Ruth's Hope 4 Chest were shown by Karen Rivett and Jane Laidlaw. The tea table was adorned by the 3 tier wedding cake.. The aunts and cousins were in charge of the tea table. The flower arrangetnents throughout the house were gladioli and dahlias.
