corsage of white rosebuds.
Following a wedding trip to Banff
National Park and Lake Winder-
mere B.C., the couple will reside at

Alberta. The groom is employed

Real Estate and ' the bride, is

Wins Quilt At
'Craft Festival
Lucknow Fifth Annual Craft
Festival was held in the Lucknow
arena on Friday, August 1st and
Saturday, August 2nd. This annual
event is sponsored by the Lucknow
AgricultUral Society.
Approxiinately seventy-five
craftsmen set up one of the best
displays viewed in recent years.
Due to the • intense heat, the
attendance was somewhat lower
than in the past year. However,
many of the crafters reported above
average sales.
The majority of the craftsmen
donated free gifts and a free draw
was held every hour on Friday and
about every half hour on Saturday,
The major winner, was Mrs.
Margaret Bannerman, R. R. 4
Kincardine, who held the lucky
ticket on the quilt. Miss Gail
MacPherson, Miss Lucknow Fair,
made the draw for the major prize.

Represents Huron
As Dairy Princess
Mary Ann Miltenburg of R. R. 7.
Lucknow is representing Huron
_County at this year's Ontario Dairy
Princess .competition being held at
the Canadian National Exhibition.
The 40 contestants from counties
and districts across Ontario will be
judged on their' poise, personality,
appearance, knowledge of the dairy
industry, and their public speaking
ability.'
Preliminary competitions began'
on August 23, and took place daily
until August 26. The preliininaries
were held at 6 p.m. in the small
judging ring in the East Annex, of
the Coliseum. Ten Princesses were
chosen to proceed to the semi-final,
level on August 27 and 28; and five
will then go on to compete in the
final competition on August 29.
The semi-finals and final will take
place at 6.00 p:m. in the 'main ring
of the Coliseum.
The young lady, who is chosen to
be the 1975-76 , Ontario Dairy
Prince-Ss will •become a full-time
employee of the pntario Milk
Marketing Board for one year.
During her reign, she will travel
throughout the pro‘;ince and will
visit the United States and Great.
Britain as an ambassadreSs for the
dairy farmers of Ontario.
Mary Ann, 'Huron's representa-
tive, is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. John Miltenburg of Ashfield
Township.

Donna Ritchie of Red Deer,
Alberta, working 'as 'a nutritionist
with the Health Unit, flew home to
attend Wanda Hunter's wedding
that took place On Saturday of last
week: Donna is visiting until
Thursday with her parents,' Mr.
and Mrs. Harvey Ritchie and
family, when she is returning back
to work."
Bill Wilkins, employed in South
Haielton, British Columbia for' the
past five months at Mr. and Mrs.
Dewey Cummins' beef farm ' and
sawmill, completed his job laSt
week end and returned home with
his truck he had purchased in
HazeltOn and with his cousin Bob
Wilkins, who had ,been visiting Bill
the past 'two weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kirkland
and Nancy had Mrs. Irwin Carruth-
ers, Julie and Andrew of Goderich,
accompanied .by - Mrs. J. 'C.
Stothers of -London, visit Friday, of
last week.

formerly of Zion, whose marriage
took place Saturday afternoon of
last week in Wingham.
Cheryl Walker of Wingham is
visiting a few days this week with

Edmonton were united in marriage
on Saturday, July 5th in Trinity
Lutheran Church, London at 3.30
p.m. Lighted 'candelabra of, pink
tapers set amid pink carnations,
pink roses and . babk's breath
decorated the altar.
Rev. Thomas Ristine of Trinity
Lutheran Church officiated at the
double ring ceremony and was
assisted by Fr. Fady of St. Peter's ,
Seminary,. London. Wedding
music , was "Misty" and "The
First Time Ever I saw Your Face".
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Janson of London
and the groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Donald MacKinnon 'of Luck-.

Given in marriage by her father,
the bride chose a floor-length
gown of white peau de soie' satin
with an overlay of nylon sheer
accented with a lace bodice, short
sleeves and round neckline. The
empire waist was outlined in satin
ribbon edged with lace. Her Juliet
cap of sequined lace, held a two-tier
shoulder-length veil edged with
matching lace, which also outlined
her full train, fastened at- the back
with satin 'ribbon. She carried a
bouquet of pink carnations, white
roses and baby's breath.
The maid of honour was Miss
Carol Carnegie of London, a friend
of the bride, now Mrs.: Richard
Rauf of Edmonton. She wore a
long gown of floral cotton and
pblyester print, pink roses and gold
leaves on an ivory background,
styled with a low back and 'a ruffled
neck line falling over the shoulder,
an empire waistline and a ruffle at '
the hem. She carried a bouquet of
pink carnations, Pink roses and
baby's breath.
Bridesmaids were Miss Ellen
MacKenzie of Toronto and Mrs.
Karen Osoka of London, friends of
the bride. Their dresses and
bow:fiets were identical to the maid
of honour's.
Debbie MacKinnon of Kitchen-
er, niece of the groom, was flower
girl. She was dressed in a long
white dress trimmed with white
lace and a pink sash and carried a
White basket of pink roses, pink
carnations and baby's breath.
Best man was Rob Smith of
London, friend of the groom. The
guests were ushered 'by Doug
MacKinnon, brother of .the groom
and David Eadie of Holyrood,
friend , of the groom. The groom,
best man and ushers wore black
Windsor tuxedos with a red rose :
