Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Dakin, Kitchener and Mr. and Mrs.° Sam Tucker, Chicago called. on Mrs. Mintiie Jones and-Mel last week: Mrs. Tucker is a great great niece of,Mrs. Jones, a great granddaugh- ter of her brother. . Jack and Gwen Caesar, Cora and Frank Thompson enjoyed a few days last week in Ottawa, Kingston and Peterborough. While in Ottawa they took a conducted tour of the city and Parliament Build- ings and saw the Changing of the Guard. Mrs. Les Johnston, Beth Rut- ledge'and Bessie McNee visited Mr. and Mrs. Ross McNee,' Mrs. Jennie Rutledge and others at Huronview c/n Friday. Mrs.,, Cecil Blake accompanied her son Bill and his wife Pat to East Tawas, Michigan, for a few days last week. Olive .visited her uncle, Mr. Eugene Hanson and Bill and Pat camped in their tent trailer in a park nearby. Becky and Kara Blake stayed with their grandpar- ents, Mr. and-Mrs. Eugene Ryan in Goderich. Bill and Pat and the girls are camping at Point Farms this . week. ' Mary Bere and Jamie visited her cousin, Mrs. Jas. Schultz, Andrew, Douglas and Amy and Mrs. Schultz Sr. at their cottage. at Kintail on Tuesday evening. Mrs.. Steve Stothers of Lucknow was there also. BIBLE VACATION SCHOOL Seventy-four children from the village and surrounding • area enjoyed, the Bible Vacation School at the Christian Fellowship Church this past week. Enrolment was 47 on Monday and 66 on Thursday and over $60 was taken in collection which is to be used to send two children from Golden' Circle School for the Retarded to camp next summer. Mrs. Haines of Aubyrn W.I., Mrs. Buchanan -of Tiger Dunlop W.I. and Mrs. Bessie McNee of Dungannon W.I. met at the home of Mrs. Mary Wightman near BeleraNie on Monday night to plan the Fall Rally. • Mrs. Marshall Gibson of 'Luck- now visited her sister Amy Wiggins and Bill and her mother, Mrs. John Young and Art for a few days last week. , . Olive and Cliff Sproul and Peggy of Ethel visited her brother Howard and Marlene Godfrey and family one night last week. Judy Godfrey returned with them to Ethel for a •couple of days. Janet Godfrey spent a day or two in Goderich at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Smith. Mrs. Barry Oke,' Scarborough spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Higgins. Mr. and Mrs. 'Aubrey Higgins attended the Anderson-Maize wed- ding in Lucknow 'on August tO: Mr. and Mrs. Bill Andrew, Edmonton, . and some of their family, Mr. and Mrs. John Andrew of Toronto and Mr. and , Mrs. Steven Andrew of Edmonton called on. their cousins, Mrs. Cecil Blake and Mary Bere on Monday.° Week end visitors with Mrs. Cecil Blake -were Mrs. Mervin .Lobb, Clinton who has recently returned from 'a trip to Ireland; Mrs. Ennis Comfort of St. Cathar- ines; Linda and Grant Sowerby who are moving to Westhill, (Toronto) 4611iston (Boston). Mr. ani..1. Marvin Smith spent a few days in Chatham with Mr. and Mrs. Karl Smith and family. Sandra and Lisa returned with them for a few days. Sunday • visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Smith were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Garton of Leatnington. Judy and Nancy Carmichael spent a week with their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Leis in Blyth. Kevin and Gary Leis spent a few days in Dungannon. •Don Carmich- ael is visiting with, his. uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John Carmich- ael in Belgrave. A group of Senior Citizens from Elmira and Floradale shared in the service of worship at the Christian Fellowship Church on Sunday. The Sunday School children sang sever- al hymns led by Mrs. Howard Martin. A trio, Mr. and Mrs. Orie Gingerich and her sister Elaine -Martin, rendered two beautiful selections, "In the Valley He Restoreth My Soul" and "My God and I". Beth Gingerich accompan- ied on the guitar for the first one. Doug Zehr opened the service and welcomed all visitors. Orrie Gingerich gave a service on Paul's text, "When I became a man" and ST. HELENS Mts:-Harold-C--ooper-and Ronald _visited with Dr. and Mrs. David Walter and family in West. Lafay- ette, Indiana. Mr. arid Mrs. Glen McDonald and family of Woodstock were week end visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gaunt, Douglas and Janice. David Mewhinney returned discussed ways of achieving matur- ity. Both leaders expressed appreciation and thanks to, all in the congregation who helped make the Bible School a success. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Dorscht, Douglas and Donald enjoyed a trip to 'the East Coast returning home on Wednesday. Mrs. Vera Parr, who resides with her daughter Mrs. Gerald Dorscht, has been hospitalized in Kitchener and underwent surgery recently. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Gammie Until now, motorists going in the opposite direction, had to stop only when the posted- maximum speed limit was more than 35 miles per hour. But as of September 1st, everyone must stop—except in one in- stance: motorists going in.the opposite direction from the school bus on the other Side of amulti-lane highway divided by a physical barrier. As a motorist, you must drive with extra Care whenever you see a schbol bin in front of you or coming towards you, because if the School bus flashes its red lights, traffic .from both directions must stop. If all of us observe this law our children will be that much safer: Remember, school bus safety is everybody's responsibility. • As a parent, encourage your children to follow the school bus safety rules learned at school— helping the bus driver by , behaving quietly and keeping seated until it is time to leave the bus.
