Bob Cronin
Assumes Duties
As Cuiross Clerk
Robert Cronin, Teeswater, has
assumed his duties as the clerk of
Culross Township, starting to work
on August 4.., -
He recently sold the Cosy
Restaurant and Bakery to Mr. and
Mrs. Lloyd Dwinnell, who had
come here from British Columbia:
Bob was born in Mildmay where
his mother, Mrs. Tim Cronin, still
resides. He taught school for four
years, worked for the Telephone
Company for two years and spent 8
years in the Canadian Airforce.
After his diseharge he bought the
Cosy and has .been in the
restaurant. and bakery business for
the past 12 years.
His wife is the former Donna.
Cerson of Teeswater and they have
three of a family, David, a student
at F. E. Madill School, Wingham;
Paul and Nancy, students at
Hillcrest Central,. Teeswater.
Bob is active in the Lions Club,
Mr. and Mrs. Art Richardson,
entertained at a dinner on Friday
evening in honour of Mr. Joseph
Wall's 91st birthday. Mrs. Don
Recreation Committee, Minor
Sports, Chamber of Commerce and
other local activities.
Gillespie made—anal.-decorated a
'lovely birthday cake for this
occasion. Joe, who is well and
favuurably- known- here; makes -his
-home with his nephew Spence
McFarlan. He received scrolls
from both the Dominion and
Provincial governments; also con-
gratulatory messages from Prime
Minister Trudeau, Premier Davis,
Robert Nixon, Murray Gaunt and
Governor General and Madame
Leger, also from relatives, friends
and neighbours and the Kinlough
Anglican Church Women.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Yoling of
Waterloo,' Mrs. Elma Mae Gilling-
ham of Kitchener, Mr. and Mrs..
Bert Thompson, Carol and Cheryle
o Teeswater, visited on Sunday ,
with Mr. and Mrs. Tom MacDon-
ald. Cathy Young, who has .been
vacationing here returned home. •
Eric Haldenby entertained little
friends on Monday at his 10th
birthday party.
