LANGSIDE Heather and Susan Conley of Guelph spent a week with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Gra- ham Moffat. Mrs. Don Robertson and Heath- er and Mrs. W. Osband' of London called on friends here on the week 'end. The Young picnic was 'held on Sunday, August 1.0 at the Conser. _v.ation_ Park- near Hanover. There- were thirty-two relatives present from Belgrave, Wingham, Hanov- er, Lucknow, Langside and Rex- dale. Games and contests were held with Mrs. Linda Young and Mrs. Barbara Young in charge. A bountiful picnic lunch ended an enjoyable afternoon. The Ladies Aid held their monthly meeting on i Tuesday, August 5 at the home of Mrs. Linda Young. While the minister Mr. Kay and family are holidaying this month's church services are being conduct- ed by organizations and members. Last week the Young Peoples conducted the service with Cecil 'de Boer giving the . sermon. This Sunday the service was conducted by the Ladies Aid with Mrs. Jean Young giving the sermon. Next Sunday John de Boer will be in charge of the service. Joanne Bongertman spent the week end in. London visiting with her sister Mary on the occasion .of her birthday. ZION Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilkins and Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Mann of Lucknow spent two weeks . in Western Canada. They visited the former's son, Bill Wilkins, at Hazelton, British Columbia, where he is employed. Mr. and Mrs: Frank Ritchie had her brother, Mr.. and Mrs. .Angus MacAuley of Toronto during the holiday week end and attended the Old Boys Reunion in Ripley. Mrs. Gordon • Kirkland and Nancy visited for •a few days with Mr. and Mrs. •Ken , Kirkland qn Milton. Mr. and Mrs. John Hunter and Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Cook, Sharon and Michelle attended the wedding on. August 16th for their. nephew Dennis Hanna and Bev. Harriston of London at St. Andrew's• Presbyter- ian Church in London and the reception in the evening. Gerald and Janice Cook spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Barry McDon- agh of Lucknow. Larry Wilkins'spent two weeks at the end of JO/ as a Farmer's Union Youth. Exchange in Western Can- ada at Lac Le BiChe, north of Edmonton. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kirkland and ,attending the Andrew-Lane picnic were' Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Andrew of Orillia, their daughter Mr. and Mrs.. Ken Lucas, Marilyn and Paul *from Hamilton, Dr. and Mrs. W. T. Andrew from Edmonton, Mr. and Mrs. John Andrew of Toronto. Mrs. Gordon Kirkland and Nancy visited with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kirkland, Lana and Darren of Kingsville a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Frank. Ritchie and Mrs. Wm. G. Hunter of Lucknow visited in Milton with Mrs. Ritchie's mother, Mrs. Mary MacAuley ,of Centennial Manor, Milton on Friday of last week. Mr. and Ars. Allan Gibson and family had on Sunday afternoon, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Al Irwin; her brother, ,Mr. • and Mrs. Bob Irwin and family, boundary west of Lucknow; his mother, Mrs. Marsh- all Gibson of Lucknow and nephews Steven and Wayne Smith of London. Carol Ritchie spent the week end with her uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Foie and family of Goderich. • The v motored. in Southern Ontario and Niagara. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Raynard attended the wedding last Saturday of his niece Marjorie Murray and Steven Hackett at the Presbyterian Church in Lucknow with the wedding meal at Brookside School, • Ashfield.
