people. In charge of roasting all
that beef was Sam Malhotra of
Goderich and 'Gerry Crooks of
Kincardine - both members of
the local 'club. Sam and Gerry
started at nine o'clock on
Saturday ,evening and carried
right through the night to
Sunday. At five 'on Sunday
morning Reuben Burnett bf
Pine River brought lunch to
therrk - sandwiches and coffee.
They used three barbecue
ovens =their own original one, a
new one built by Howard Hodge

one owned by .the Middlesex .
Beef Producers. Bill Kempton
was down to Ilderton near
London and trucked it up fOr
the event. The many com-
mittees.- working under
chairman Don MacTavish did, a
great job. - • . •
. In Huron Township hall Mrs.
Mary • (Jack-) Scott and her
'registration conimittee had
tables set up and did' a fine job
of fixing a "name tag" on those
back. These name tags were a
great ice breaker, and helped
inimensely in ' renewing
acquaintances. Also in the
Huron tOwnshirt, hall the fine
'Reunion History books were on
sale. fhey are
fine books - They have a good
layout, nice pictures and a
great cover design by liVirs.
Gloria Rutledge. Bob Courtney,
Norval Stewart and many
others who work on it are to be
congratulated. Contrary to
rumors, they are still available.
However the Reunion hatS and

Reunion mugs are all gone. •
NoW the Ripley Huron
Reunion itself is history. It was
great to be here. The co-
operation and work put into
staging it both by Hui-on and
Ripley people was tremendous.
The help froth neighbouring
muni5LKlities and their people
was appreciated. Thanks to all
and especially to those who
'returned "home" to Huron and
Ripley. Except for the drizzle
on -Sunday morning there was
fine warm summer sunshine -
certainly a big factor in, the
enjoyable time.
