'Last Sunday evening at midnight the village
was alive—that's for sure. People,came in
cars and walking down the sidewalks, then in
crowdp right out on the pavement. -All con-
verged on the main corner to see where the
action was. Alt it_wa s_j ust a- case -of--- -
lining the sides of the street Then up from
the new rink-came a truck towing a wagon. On
it were the boys from Pine River with Don
Steele of Kitchener and Bob Courtney of Am-
' berley along with several others playing
their musical instruments. Of course a hearty vote, of thanks for this

Well after the parade came up from the west,-
end, it turned the bank corner and went south,
then back up north. Eventually it disbanded
with a great crowd going to the dance in the
new complex.
However there• were groups of people all ov-.
er the village and their'happy talk filled
the pleasant summer evening air and one knew
that "Ripley was alive in '75".
