CASH REGISTER IS PRINCIPAL LOSS, Thieves Enter MacNay's Store On Weekend A thief or thieves entered the MacNay Store at Arnberley• in the early hours of Sunday morning stealing $200-$300 in change, plus • cigarettes and clothing. The biggest single loss was the cash register which the thieves took with therii and which was later found in Lake Huron, near Amber.- .ley. Replacement cost of the cash register is estimated at about $2500. The thief showed preference in the cigarettes and clothing stolen, taking a preferred, brand and size. The. Amberley Slore is operated by Bob and Mary MacNay. The breakin was discovered early Sunday morning when the store opened for business. Flag Thief Is Active In Ripley By Don McLay Ripley Huron Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is becoming very disillusioned with the person, or personS, unknown` who has' a mania for removing the Canadian flag from their flagpole. President Bill Danforth reported: "We would like to keep our country's flag flying on our Legion hall ,but it is becoming too expensive. Our cost has • averaged $20.00 a month, for the last three months".
