Grants for 'the im-
plementation of the Ontario
Home Renewal Program
(OHRP) have been allocated to
' 'several additional Ontario
mtinicipalities, including the
Township of Ashfield, Housing.
Minister Donald R. Irvine
announced
OHRP provides per capita
grants to Ontario
municipalities to administer
directly as loans to
homeowners Occupants to
repair their houses to an ac-
ceptable municipal minimum
standard.
Ashfield has been allocated..
$10,000 at this time, Mr. Irvine
said, which' represents ap-
proximately 31 percent of the
total 1975-76 funding designated
under OHRP for the
municipality.
The prime objective of the
program is the correction of
faulty structural and sanitary
conditions and the upgrading of
plumbing, heating and elec-
trical systems of the owner
occupant's/home.

This is it! The Ripley Huron
Reunion 75 is here! We hope as
many of you as are able will come
and enjoy the fun and fellowship
during the week end. The Old
Time Fiddlers Jamboree, the
Intermediate ball games, the
dances with the Bluetones,
C.A.K.E., Sa:tin Brass, The Mile-
stones, the parade, the pageant
"Memories of • the . Past", the
Church Service, the Beef barbecue,
Paris Concert Band, the Lions
Bingo, Dairy, Princess competition.,
and the Chapparals in concert and
dance have all been planned with
you in mind. We hope you'll attend
as many events as possible. I
should mention that the Craft
Festival is open until 10 p.m., not 6
on Friday night, and there have
been so many favourable com-
ments about The. Chapparals. /
People who have seen them before
,say they are terrific, and plan to
stay over to see them again.
To those who are selling tickets
on the draw for an 8 day trip to
Acapulco, Mexico, please turn your
ticket stubs and .money in to John
Gamble, Chester Emmerton or
Jack Elliott. Has everyone turned
in their ticket stubs and money to
Jim Elliott for the permits not to
shave? Remember, that competi-
tion will be held Monday afternoon.
On Sunday afternoon, there will be
an informal grouping of, the old
post office districts. The places for
these groupings will be' announced
at the Church Service.
Don't forget, no cars are being
allowed on the grounds, but may
enter, to take in people with lawn
chairs, and return for them.
Chairman Don MacTavish and all
the committee would like to thank
all those who have helped in
various ways to make this reunion a
success. So remember, Ripley's
Alive in '75, and COME . TO THE
REUNION THIS WEEK END.
